Rousey is the Shawn Michaels to Tate's Bert Hart in this feud.

It's weird that My Guy! Woodridge Ryan can tweet about the fight but can't message board about the fight.
What a sad day.

Others already do that. Was absolutely bummed to see Silva break his leg like that. I know everyone wants to say Weidman was dominating, which he was. However, we all have seen Silva feel out an opponent for a bit before the perfect strike or submission. I felt like he could have won that night. We'll never know. I like Weidman and will probably root for him to do well. Just bummed that that's it for Silva. He got me into the UFC some 7 years ago. All-time favorite.

After the announcement yesterday of Sonnen failing a drug test, tonight he announced his retirement on UFC Tonight. Personally, I think it's the pussy way out. Can't use drugs, so he quits.

Was that his reason for retiring? The problem is with the testing and what they test for. All these guys are on something. All of them.

Yeah. It sounds like a George Zahorian type scandal is headed to MMA. I don't mean a single doctor providing stuff. But there's a ton of smoke right now. Fire is coming.

Wonder if the E will get in on this somehow. This guy is kind of famous for saying he wanted to buy the E even though I believe he's worth less than $10 million.
But between his love for the E and a possible scandal in UFC would Vince consider?

But between his love for the E and a possible scandal in UFC would Vince consider? I think if anything it'll make WWE steer WAY clear. With the history the company has with PEDs itself, at least from where I'm sitting, I wouldn't want to give anyone *COUGH COUGH NANCY GRACE COUGH COUGH* any reason to talk shit, they do that enough as is.

If trained probably for about 6 to 8 months Chael would be an awesome pro wrestler.

Since the news of Chael Sonnen’s exit, some have wondered if he would look at a career in WWE. WWE has had interest in Sonnen in the past but Vince McMahon has been against using ex-MMA fighters because he believes that they wouldn’t be willing to do their schedule. Sonnen has spoken with Gerald Brisco who helped put a meeting together with him and Triple H. Sources close to the situation said that he as told that he was too old to start training but the company might have interest in him as an announcer. WWE would be leery right now since the news of his failed drug tests is still fresh and they are a publicly traded company that would have to answer to stockholders. If WWE hired him as a wrestler, they would not be able to use him in states that still regulate wrestling until his suspension is over. News from the Wrestling Observer newsletter was used in this post. Please visit WrestlingObserver.com for subscription information. I thought I heard somewhere Chael had signed for a super fight in like November? Or is that something my brain is just making up to fill time? (I need a more involved job...)

He's doing a Metamoris fight in August I think.
I have no idea what that is.

I would say this is a really bad idea. But the buy numbers will be pretty crazy.

Yes, it was the announcement. Rogan interviewed him cageside. Said he most likely will fight at 185, but 170 isn't out of the question. Said he will be picking his fight camp soon. Says it's not just a one fight deal, this is his new career. Punk was really excited. Dude couldn't stop smiling.
