With Campbell leaving Toledo I am thinking my guy PJ is going to jump off the row boat and to a big time program. I don't think he wants to leave and its not the ideal timing as he hasn't even seen his first recruiting class through.....but....there are just too damn many job openings this year at big time schools with big time$$$.

Goodness U of I. That team should just fold. Richt has been really good every year and produces some solid NFL talent. He is just not great every year. You can't be any more consistent than that guy. I want to say there have been rumblings of this for years so there is friction between him and either the AD or the fanbase. Sadly, it is probably the best move in the grand scheme for Illinois. The entire university is really fractured right now. They need to start hiring at the very top. The AD isn't even close to their top priority. That should say something. Once they get the top levels in place, they absolutely have to nail the AD hire. All of this will build confidence with the alumni base. In a little over a year, I would expect they fire the coach and pay his second year. At that point, you make the biggest hire in recent Illinois history. I don't know who, but a big program guy.

So....Illinois is preparing a search committee hire the new AD and would like it to be done by January. So much for getting your house in order at the top...
Now back to The U. They have interviewed Butch Davis, and Schiano and will interview Dan Mullen and Mark Richt today. They are going to get this right and must be coming to the table with some money. Schiano might be the best fit but Richt is awfully hard to ignore.

They have played 2 competent teams this year. They are not a top 4 team. I would say top 15. They would die in the SEC. You should be celebrating the really nice season your Hoosiers have had. They are going bowling aren't they? Indeed. I love where Indiana is at. They aren't "good" but they aren't a trainwreck anymore. When they lose it's an entertaining 56-53 shootout. Give that man an extension.

oh....and the Ohio State political machine is out in full force. I think I have seen at least 10 stories coming out of there trying to justify putting them in the playoff.

I suppose it's possible a hot candidate will not go somewhere with "interim" and "acting" on many of the top titles. Everyone needs to get along when it comes time to hire coaches, get alumni donations, or lower the criteria for admission.

Said to be similar deal to the one he had at Georgia. I also had no idea he is an alum of The U.

1 down, 1 to go to keep shitbag Urban out of the playoff. The more I think about it these conference championship games should only be able to help you..not hurt you. A team that isn't good enough to even play in one gets to pass a team who earned a trip to the conference championship and lost to the eventual conference champion?? That is some bullshit. If Clemson looses they should go over shitbags bag of scarlet and grey shit without even a second thought.

He is just a lying sac of shit that embodies everything I can't stand about collegiate sports. Combine that with possibly the most annoying fanbase of any sport at any level in the country and you have a perfect focused laser beam of hate. My team is also The U which is hardly on tv and never relevant so my fandom is focused on the downfall of st. urban. However, It's Richt time baby!!!!

That was as good of a game as you will ever see. The balls to run the option with cook on 4th down....and then the effort by that RB to score.

Suck a dick Urban....you can't politic your way into a playoff this time. Maybe you can spend the championship game night sharing bible verses between a glass wall with Aaron Hernandez...just like the good ol days.

Notch another arrest in the bad boy belt for Urban Meyer.
According to Fox 28 in Columbus, defensive tackle Adolphus Washington was cited for solicitation – a first-degree misdemeanor. Ohio State confirmed the incident to BuckeyeGrove.com and said that Washington is due in court on Dec. 17.
