I know many of us are in totally different areas now. But what are you doing for cable? I'm ready to cut the chord, but I feel like I'll miss a couple things. In turn, I'll end up spending the same amount of money and it will be more difficult. Like going to a sports bar to watch a game. Thoughts?

In right there with you man. Only reason o have DirecTv is because my building allows it to become a very cheap bill. I always get worried about sports viewing. That's it. What are you concerned about missing or what have you researched to put you at ease?

What are you concerned about missing or what have you researched to put you at ease? I'm barely home since I started the new gig. The problem is my main viewing right now is HBO and MLB Network. I obviously need internet. I feel like if there's one thing I can't watch that I impulsively want to watch, I'll spend that money going somewhere. While that's a character issue I could work on, I'm also self-aware. Haha.

I'm also contemplating getting a room in someone/somebody's place in the city so I can crash a couple days per week. The commute is getting rough, especially if I'm doing weekends as well. Now I'm paying a ton of money for a service I'm barely using.

I have DirecTV. I can't cut the chord. Everything I watch is not available elsewhere to the best of my knowledge. I watch a ton of sports, Raw, Smackdown, CNN, MSNBC and even Fox(I try to stay balanced but that channel sucks ass)

Check out Sling TV. They have different packages and a few of them include the local Fox Sports. Even with their full package plus sports package, we're talking $50/month.
