Kid, can we do a Drummond for Parker deal? I'll stock the fridge for you in the guest house before you guys arrive.
Lots of pop tarts too.

Sorry but I need my PG. He's one of my most valuable positions. I'll offer Shane Battier and Ian Mahinmi for Drummond.

Thu, Oct 24 Andre Drummond continued his dominant October on Thursday with 11 points, 20 boards, one assist and one block in 38 minutes against the Wolves. Advice: He simply looks like he's playing with college kids in the paint. Drummond has 14.0 boards per game in his last five outings and it's not too crazy to think he can win the rebounding crown. Interestingly, two days ago online-gambling sites had him at 50:1 to earn that distinction and it has already been cut down to 25:1. If you can absorb the free throw misses, Drummond could be in for a huge season. (Rotoworld.com)

So I nerded it up for the draft and came up with a cheat sheet based on my own criteria, as opposed to Yahoo's ranking. Curious to see what you all think since I may use it again this year if I join another league. Here were the things I valued most:
Multi-category competency: Goes without saying, but guys who chip in all across the board (Howard, Harden, Curry, etc.) were valued over guys who specialized in only three or less categories (Ibaka, Sanders, Noah, etc.)
So based on that, here was my list for 30 or so players. I did 1 point per category, plus one extra point per category if you put up elite numbers, relative to each category (i.e. 6 or more field goals made, 19 or more points, 1.5 or more threes, etc.) The final grades are next to each player. I did not factor in TOs, FT% or FG%, and I ignored injuries just for time's sake.
LBJ 15 Harden 13 KD 12 Curry 12 Westbrook 12 Irving 11 Howard 10 Love 10 George 10 D. Williams 10 Anthony 10 Rose 10 Paul 9 Wall 9 Lillard 9 Holiday 9 Griffin 9 Jo. Smith 9 Ellis 9 Lopez 9 Batum 8 Gordon 8 Conley 8 M. Gasol 8 Jennings 8 Walker 8 Gay 8 Jefferson 8 Horford 8 Parker 8 Igoudala 7 Dragic 7 Teague 7 Rondo 7 Parsons 7 Lawson 7 Cousins 7 D. Lee 7 Alderidge 7 Gallinari 6 Noah 6 Davis 6 Mayo 6 Milsap 6 Pekovic 6 Monroe 6 JR Smith 6 DeRozan 6 Young 6 Rubio 6 Leonard 6 T. Harris 6 Matthews 5 Ibaka 5 Evans 5 Anderson 5

That's interesting, I think I like it. How did Duncan grade out? Yeah so I'm not ageist in real life, but in fantasy I am. I did not consider him or other NBA senior citizens, like Kobe, Dirk, Pierce, etc. Did not include Wade either. Because this whole thing is arbitrary I also simply forgot guys like the center in Toronto, and your guy Drummond. Did not include rookies either since I like to use NBA data when considering each player.

It's still a very interesting system. Looks pretty accurate. Thanks, I hope it is - I relied on it for four of the players I drafted yesterday. I think a key category is FGM, since if you're high in FGM, it can presumably mean you're 1) scoring, 2) shooting free throws, or 3) shooting threes. That's four categories (FGM, PTS, FTM, Threes) at best right there in one metric. Obviously bigs won't be shooting threes, but they make up for it elsewhere.

I think I was drafting more from the Nas league mindset. He not only counts total rebounds, but he counts offensive and defensive as well. So that's obviously 3 rebounding categories right there.

I noticed you went big early and often. Howard was my target in the first at 20 and you grabbed him at like 13. With your bigs you probably still dominate REB, FG%, BLK, and PTS.

I need to get to work to make my team more well rounded. Like I said, I kind of have the guys where I'll probably give up on a category or two, like 3's. 15 categories. Pretty much want to assure yourself of at least 8 each week I suppose. Ejections is a bit of a wildcard.

Finally getting into my little fantasy league. Could be a long first week or two. Hard to tell. It is possible others have 7-13 as bad as mine.

This is my first time in a league larger than 12 teams, so I can only assume that in a 20 team league in which more than half of the actual league's players are drafted, there is going to be a whole lotta bad on every team.
