What with the airports in town back up and running, word on the street is that some big guy named Terry and a loudmouth named Jimmy were on a plane headed for the Allstate Arena. Well, they were, not the plane itself; that would be a much larger story; leave it to Vince and co. to re-hash an old storyline though. Probably part of the WWE's Hooray for Tits campaign that is so fashionable for corporations to dive into as we approach October in honor of the weather trending toward a nip (or two) in the air.
Steph was on WGN this morning and said 'never say never' in regards to a non-descript question about a CM Punk return. I'm comfortable getting the "nev" part out of my mouth anytime the topic is brought up.
Yet again there will be no post-Raw show on the network. Because if there's one thing you don't want on a fledgling internet-based wrestling network is discussion about another shitty episode of Raw.
Michael Hayes released a new song called “Why Can’t the Children Pray in School” on iTunes; he said on Twitter that there will be more music coming soon. I don't have a joke for that because I don't feel that I have to come up with one.
Early highlights for the show tonight:
* The latest between Ambrose and Rollins.
* Can the Usos wrestle the cosmic key away from Goldust and Stardust?
* The battle for the Bella name.
* The latest on the controversial finish to Friday’s IC Title match.
* John Cena vs. The World
As a friendly reminder, tonight's NFL matchup is New England vs. KC. There is no baseball until tomororw (KC vs Oak). I sent a note to Bud to please move the game up, but he declined to do so. Sorry I couldn't do more.
I saw someone opine that the next two NXT callups will almost certainly be KENTA & Prince Devitt. Of course, Devitt needs to work on his English, but that hasn't stopped a number of other talent from making it onto TV the last 10 years. Something to think about when you're taking a leak later during the Bella segment.
I think I had something else to write but I got distracted and now I don't care enough to think about it anymore, and who the hell wants to read any more of my nonsensical shit anyway?
