I was at an open air bar in Wrigleyville about 10 years with a guy playing music with a guitar just like that. Mostly well known pop stuff, all covers. I went up to him and asked him if he knew any Dave Matthews songs, to which he replied simply "no".
Ouch.

I like the Signs song but it was overplayed at one point. Plus it became depressing that most people only knew Tesla by associating them with that song.

10 years ago I saw this happen live. Only time The Roots & Dave Matthews Band have done this.
This whole weekend was nuts. I remember Rage Against The Machine played Alpine the night before & it rained badly, making the hill a giant mud pit for 2 nights, which we were slipping & falling in all weekend. Our car even got stuck in the parking lot going home. And on our way to the concert, there was traffic, so we get out of our car to just walk by the car out of boredom and then......traffic picks up & my buddy drove off without us! We had to chase the car down as people stuck their heads out of their cars cheering us on. One dude tried holding out a PBR for me to take. I'll never forget that story.
Then when we got there a guy who looked like John Cena asked my friend for a cigarette, to which my friend said "Aren't you John Cena?" and the guy said "nah, man" and walked away (I'm still 75% sure it was John Cena)

New studio album comes out tomorrow. 1st one in 5 years.
I've heard the whole thing and it's pretty great. Not an all time great or anything, but some songs I really enjoy. A few songs they've played since 2006 finally get a studio version (Can't Stop and The Idea of You).
I realize this post maybe applies to 2-3 people tops on here, so the rest of you, enjoy this gif from Adam Cole....Bay Bay

10th studio album came out today. It’s very good, enjoyed it quite a bit.
There’s a song I heard played live in 2006 that finally got a studio version that only I could possibly care about.
I needed to dust off this thread again to point that out.
