Now we are getting Bobby Browns daughter talk. I think she is dead except for the machine keeping her breathing. I like Bobby and it sounded like Whitney had this kid all screwed up.....I mean she did marry her adopted brother.

It was very telling to hear Michael Bennett speak after the game. He seemed very humbled and was almost hoping and asking for his teammates to not let the dam break....as if he knew it was going to happen.

Radio Joe is NOT impressed with the moves the Brewers have made this offseason. I agree. I don't see how they got better this off season either. Lind really does not bother me but he doesn't impress me either.

They got rid of one of their best starting pitchers for an at best bench player who can't hit. Aramis gets worse everyday because he is damn near as old as you. Starting an unproven 2 pitch pitcher every 5th day over a solid vet like Yo scares me. Lind is an improvement but not a vast improvement. Braun is still a huge unknown. I don't see how they got better. I'm not sure they are worse either.

I have no problem with what they did this offseason, and I really have no problem getting rid of Yo. Loved him as a Brewer but he was going to walk and at least we got some potential for him. Unless you made a big trade where would anybody you would have signed played?

That's crazy talk. They risked losing Yo for nothing in return (not to mention had they kept him, they'd probably have to vastly overpay him)
They got a fireballer reliever who could conceivably be their closer of the future. They got another young arm that some have compared to Pedro Martinez. And they addressed a huge backup infielder concern with a guy that can play anywhere in the infield. While his hitting is questionable, his defense is not.
And if Aramis gets worse everyday, that just means all the young guys get better. (Scooter, Segura, Gomez, Lucroy, Khrush, etc..)
Jimmy may or may not be better than Yo but he's done everything he could in the minors.
Braun is unknown but he had a pretty good year in retrospect, given that he was supposedly injured. If all that is true and if news that the surgery was successful pans out, he could be back to MVP numbers.

I just can't do it. Can't listen.
I did just hear some of transition however with Bernsie and Weisgel. Bernstein was talking about how him and his son had a long conversation yesterday about how many people actually die in their bathtubs.
Additionally, the snow is so fucking packy that it keeps getting stuck in the blower. Looks like it's time for a return of the Beast Incarnate.
This is gonna be a long day.
