I don't know who half these guys being discussed are. I'm sure some of them want to help a team advance throughout the playoffs....but hearing C&W discuss a few of these guys and how they want to be traded so they can "get the damn ball, start, and get theirs" is disturbing. The trade deadline is supposed to be about strengthening the strong teams while giving future assets to the weaker teams....its not supposed to be about guys bitching and whining about playing time, their coaches....etc. and wanting to get out of town. I wish I could remember who they were talking about.
What will TT do today? Brad Jones and AJ Hawk meet the axe? Cobb signs?
There is also some extra concern regarding Luc's hammy as I heard yesterday that this is something he dealt with towards the end of last year. That is not good at all. You absolutely do not need Luc Hayward blowing the thing out all season long.

Good lord. These guys are asking a show critic to come on tomorrow and do the show. They asked the listeners to give them things they should give up for Lent on the show. Some guy was just screwing with them and they are challenging him to do the show better.

The Unit is firing on Charles Tillman for wanting to "feed his family". Now he is throwing out the assumption that these athletes have 6 kids with 6 women, paying for the posse to drink gin and juice all day with them. The hood is out today!!!

I have read that before about Tillman. He has always come off as a good guy. I thought I just read that he only wants to play for a shot at a ring. That made him sound like an idiot who didn't do his homework. He found a story to fit a predetermined agenda.

It sounds more like Sanders is getting 23 million, 8 this year and 15 in the buyout but there really doesn't seem to be concrete details out there.

I believe he has already cashed 8 mil worth of checks for this year and over the rest of this year and the next 2 years he gets the 15 mil. They are also able to spread that money out over many years I am hearing which is good for the stupid cap rules this league has.

How hard would it be to have a lockout and no longer guarantee contracts? Its not like they are going to go form a new league. The NFL THRIVES off of non-guaranteed contracts.

Because MLB just buys out the shit contracts and they have no cap. The NHL cap is weird and I don't fully understand it. I think you can just buy a guy out in the NHL and be done with them as far as the cap goes. The NBA also seems to have an awful lot of guys that throw a fit and sabatoge their teams in order to get bought out and then turn around and sign elsewhere. If you get bought out in MLB or NHL you come back at the bare minimum if you even come back. Its usually about performance and not insubordination.

I keep wondering why Larry would give up any of the money he's owed but then I'm reading that if this situation just lingered and lingered and he was still under contract - that he'd be subjected to all the same rules currently in place (i.e. drug testing)

I wish they could add the language the NFL has for buying out coaches into their CBA. The Bucks are on the hook for 15 mil over the next 2 years. Any money on a contract with a new team is subtracted from what the Bucks owe at that exact point in time he signs through the duration of the old contract. So lets work with the 15 mil. Say he signs in 2 weeks with the Cavs for 17 mil over 2 years. The Cavs then assume the 15 mil over 2 years and the additional 2. I hate that they allow double dipping.
I remember this when Lovie was fired with 6 mil left on his contract. Anything he made on a deal that next year was subtracted from what the Bears would owe him.
