Didn't I backtrack last night? When I watched it, staying as Stardust made more sense.

Whoever says "take a picture with me, I pay your bills" are fucking assholes. That's incredibly sad people have to say those kinds of things to try to get a pic. Hell when I met Cody in April I talked about High Voltage. Can't go wrong with WCW talk.
That being said, I understand wanting to "finish what he started" but where's the finish in it? A Summerslam match with Arrow? I know I'm not alone on this board thinking Cody Rhodes could accomplish more than the Stardust character. And I've thought that since long before Dusty passed away. Was it a cool change for a bit, absolutely, but IMO I think they could do more with Cody Rhodes the wrestler. Not saying make him into "The American Dream" Cody Rhodes or even push him right to the top because his father is gone, I just don't want him to be a goofy character lost in the shuffle. He's way too good of a talent for that.
Back when he & Goldust teamed against The Shield, it was the hottest he'd ever been. They should've pulled the trigger on him then honestly. Instead you had fuckin Big Show fighting Randy Orton for the title at the time. That could've shot Cody into the main event, just to see how it went. He deserves at least a chance to main event.

Stardust for now is fine I guess, but there needs to be an end point.
This reaction was great.

From perusing the Smackdown spoilers, it looks like they have Cody/Stardust headed in the right direction.

– In a post on Twitter, Cody Rhodes explained why he came back to WWE as Stardust instead of returning as himself.
He wrote: “Troubled seeing some people think I’d allow or be comfortable w/the worst thing that’s ever happened to me be exploited on TV for a ‘return.’”
He also said that Dusty had him referee his first match for Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling and gave him a referee’s shirt with “Stardust” on it. Meanwhile, Chad Dukes posted a photo of Dusty with the name “Stardust” on his trunks, which you can find here. Ric Flair previously said on his podcast that Jim Crockett’s plane that carried himself and Dusty was named “Star Dust”.

THEN THEY SHOULD WORK THAT INTO THE CHARACTER!!!
That's an amazing backstory, enough with this cosmic key nonsense. Like I said before, in no way am I saying push Cody because of what tragically happened to his father, I'm saying they need to push him because he's fucking talented & deserves to be. Unless something drastic happens to the gimmick, I just don't see that character getting any further than IC champion (ain't no way Stardust is beating Cena, especially with Owens, Rusev, Cesaro all in the picture).
I honestly think Cody Rhodes could main event PPVs. Stardust could main event Main Event. And that's a bummer, because I want Cody to have a huge push.

Earlier this week on Raw, Intercontinental Champion Ryback sustained an injury that will prevent him from competing and defending his title this weekend at WWE Battleground.
My picks for July are cursed!

I'm scared to think we'll see Big Show vs Miz for the IC title. Wonder if they'll just scrap the match?
Question for the contest, if Ryback forfeits the title, yes he is no longer champion, but he never technically got pinned or submitted.
I (and I'm assuming those who picked him too) just don't want to be dicked over -10 points because The Big Guy decided to do a Frog Splash, haha

Possible HUGE Spoiler for Battleground. Please don't click or get mad at me if you really don't want to know: – Okay, so first things first: at this point, it’s simply a rumor, so get your grains of salt ready. But the word going around is that The Undertaker may return this Sunday at WWE Battleground during the main event match. While the rumor started on Reddit, The Wrestling Observer Live noted that it is actually a possibility.
The report suggests that the return could set up an angle at SummerSlam, and could be done in order to push for an upswing in WWE Network subscriber numbers before the Q2 earnings call at the end of the month.
As reported, a recent picture was posted online of the Undertaker working out. And while Reddit rumors are spurious at best, this one came from the guy who correctly predicted Samoa Joe’s signing and appearance at NXT Takeover: Unstoppable, Kevin Owens’ Raw debut, Mark Henry replacing Rusev in Elimination Chamber and Ryback winning the Intercontinental Title at the same show. He has yet to give a spoiler that didn’t turn out accurate. So while it’s unconfirmed, it’s at least a rumor coming from someone with credibility.

What if Cena beats Owens clean (ugh) and THAT GUY answers the US Open Challenge at Summerslam and we get THAT GUY vs Cena? Get that match one more time before THAT GUY leaves?
I just want Cena/Owens at Summerslam with Owens coming out with the title.

Well shit, I'll guess I'll just go fuck myself, haha. Sorry about that. Just ignore my comment folks (which kinda makes sense though, you have to admit!)
Oh well, something else to debate until Battleground. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing that match, I just want Owens/Cena 4.
They just can't do Heel wins 1, Cena wins 3 again with Owens like they did Rusev.
EDIT: I edited my response prior to THAT GUY so it wouldn't be as obvious.

I've been talking with scorejr about this lately. There's no way they have both of the big matches end in a no decision at Battleground. Somebody is winning. Either Owens or Brock. However, if this spoiler were correct, that would at least give them a bit of an excuse to have both matches end that way.
Because to me, how do you build new feuds to Summerslam between any of these four. It makes sense for Owens/Cena to end in a no decision (since they're already on the rubber match) and then the finale, finale ends at Summerfest.......though that means Cena would still have a rematch after that.
Hmmmm, on second thought, I'm terribly confused.
Nonetheless, I think Brock wins in a blowout.

I agree, Owens/Cena I think should end in a no contest. They've had bad blood for months, have Owens get DQ'd or hell have Cena get DQ'd, something different. Throw a Street Fight stip on Summerslam. Owens needs that title though. Hell screw the stip, make it be the last chance either man gets.
Brock will sell merch without the title. Brock will be over without the title. Brock will throw car doors into the stands without the title. He doesn't need it. Rollins does & having Heyman turn is a perfect thing to do, but at Summerslam. Something major needs to happen, and Brock winning the title back doesn't seem like the answer.
Sure as shit means Sheamus isn't the answer either.

Cena/Owens have all kinds of built in mechanisms at the moment to continue their feud. I think you have to bring Cesaro and Rusev into the equation now as well. I'm now almost wondering if a no decision this weekend could end in a Fatal Four Way at Summerfest? Owens could get the pin on Rusev or Cesaro and the E could still act as if Owens/Cena are 1-1 for somewhere down the line. And while I agree that Brock doesn't need the belt, I only think he gets it because I can't see the 2 big matches ending in DQ. Unless.............................THAT GUY shows up.

Did you see reason for the speculation?
He was recently shown working out.
Hell by that logic Rock will be back on Raw and Austin will come back for Survivor Series.

I just wouldn't be surprised if he wants one last Summerslam before he hangs it up. Same with Survivor Series & Rumble. All culminating at Mania.
To be quite honest, I know he's old, but he still has more than 1 match left in him. Leave no "what ifs" out there & wrestle everyone you want before you leave.
Not saying this be the JOB tour where he loses to everyone, but there's still a couple believable wins left I think. It'd be interesting & something different.
