I remember being really down on the product last year and then they knocked it out of the park last year with Summerslam. I hope there I'd more of the same this year. Truly I am more looking forward to the NXT show the night before a bit more though.

Totally looking forward to NXT more. Thrilled the Divas are getting more time, especially women who can wrestle, however, how they've handled it is stupid. They insist on putting them in cliques like its friggin high school. Team this, Team that, it's incredibly annoying.
Orton/Sheamus has been run into the ground. Miz/Show/Ryback I couldn't care less about either. Ziggler/Rusev is a singles, why not a mixed? You've had the two hot blondes fighting each week, it's silly not to.
Take away the New Day entertainment factor & we have a legit main event that would be on Superstars. Tag division needs a shot in the arm badly. New Day is perfect, Lucha Dragons are solid, PTP aren't entertaining to me & Matadores miraculously are still a thing. Cass/Enzo need to friggin make things interesting again.
Cesaro/Owens should be the show stealer, but they need to elevate both guys after.
Taker needs the win, I see this as the retirement tour until Mania, so having him lose over & over on his way out isn't the way to go. Only problem is then what do you do with Brock? He's your animal & just lost to Taker?
Cena/Rollins I'll always like, but unless something massive happens like a brand new Authority faction, huge turn, something, it'll be a huge letdown. Sheamus cashing in would be a colossal disappointment. He's not getting heel heat, he's just getting "go away you're terrible" heat. I fear they'll force it like they always do.
Whew, I'm done talking about Summerslam until the show. Prepared to be disappointed, that way the slightest surprise will be huge for me.

If Sheamus cashes in on Cena, he will get an enormous pop.

He absolutely will, he'll even get a big pop the next night on Raw. After that though, prepare for the crickets.
I don't see Rollins winning then Sheamus winning, putting Rollins with the US title, such a slap in the face to him if it does. The Authority backing Sheamus over Rollins would be stupid because Sheamus hasn't proven himself A: to be healthy enough to have a run and B: Rollins has been a great champ & great golden boy for them.
There's a lot for Rollins left to do as champion. I just wonder if it'll be a clusterfuck ref type finish where there is no definitive winner. You'd think a title vs title match would be main event, but it's not, we have to remember that. I don't see something earth shattering happening & then Taker/Brock goes on last and nothing big happens aside from Taker winning.
Sadly with Dolph back, that means Kane should be back any time now too (since they were filming the same movie). Lesnar took him out, I fear he'll be involved somehow.

Smackdown spoilers are brutal. They've killed off half the card with how one sided some of the feuds have been.

That's the problem with having 90% of your main roster on the Summerslam card, they're bound to look weak, if that's the way they are wanting to book. Having constant 8 man or 6 man tags takes away from the anticipation of wrestler A finally getting his hands on wrestler B. Granted it hasn't been that way for years & years, but still, it's something I miss.
Main reason why I miss enhancement matches. Just have Owens destroy a job guy (not even a guy on your main roster) to send a message to Cesaro. Have Wyatt completely annihilate Damien Sandow or have he & Harper beat Axel/Sandow. Why lump all these guys in 8 man tags?

Why lump all these guys in 8 man tags? I guess a lot of this is due to the PPV pay structure of the Network. The thing Punk was bitching about. Like the tag match. More people get paid but it waters the whole thing down. It should just be the PTP vs New Day. Enhancement matches are great. I grew up on AWA. I'm very much in favor of that route.

– Here are some highlights from tonight’s AMA with JTG to promote his recent book:
On if experienced racism in WWE: “I definitely experienced some racism in WWE, and no I don’t think they do a good enough job when the majority of the African American wrestlers are pigeonholed into being the angry black guys, shuckin and jivin or rapping and singing…”
On whether Cryme Time was stereotypical: “Kind of…because Shad and I was from Brooklyn and hip hop was our culture. Cryme Tyme was us with the volume turned up so we didn’t have to go out of our way to play those characters.”
On which WWE stars he would revamp if he could: “New Day and I would turn them into the new Nation of Domination.”
On being part of Lita’s WWE sendoff: “We spoke to her and she said it was okay and I felt a little bit better about it. At first I was a little bothered by it until she said it was okay.”
On whether Cryme Tyme had any other team names in mind: “Some of the names were Hoodie Nation and I’m glad that didn’t work out.”
On splitting with Shad and Shad’s WWE release: “We both wanted to go our separate ways to see where a singles career would go. And I was bummed out about his release because I didn’t feel like he got a shot.”
On whether Cryme Tyme could work in today’s WWE: “Definitely.”

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rich Swann and Biff Busick are said to be strongly on the WWE radar. Both have attended tryouts in the past, and recently worked at the Evolve 47 and 48 iPPV events.

I would say size works against Swann, but they've hired smaller guys before & his talent speaks for itself, he's one of the best.
Biff is a f'n beast, he'd be a fantastic addition.
Biff vs Rousey at Mania!! Let Biff get his revenge on Ronda for chopping him at PWG!

– Wrestlezone reports that per several WWE sources, the original plan for the Divas Revolution in WWE was for Charlotte to win the Divas title from Nikki Bella for her debut. Charlotte, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch would then immediately dominate any challengers. However, the report claims that John Cena put a stop to this plan.
Cena reportedly went to Vince McMahon on behalf of his real-life girlfriend, Nikki Bella, and had the plan jettisoned. This resulted in the current booking plans with the Divas revolution that are now on WWE programming.

And they should've brought in Bayley with them and ran with the Horsewomen thing.
Course then we wouldn't have gotten that epic from last night so maybe not.

All four should've come in at the same time and crushed the "Divas". Win the belt and rebrand it the Women's Championship.
They had to be booked as superior wrestlers. Instead it's been the same 50-50 booking. Nobody is special. Everyone is the same.

These stories aren't going to help those "you're only champion because you're boyfriend is Vince's golden boy" go away anytime soon.
Nikki Bella has I proved tremendously, but I still don't see anything special about her in the ring. Her promos are terrible & aside from twirling and shaking her ass, there's not a whole lot of connection with the crowd.
That said, putting the title on Charlotte would've been a horrible mistake. She can wrestle sure, but she's still improving. Not to mention she's a worse promo than Nikki. Shell be champ soon enough, but if forced to choose between the two, honestly, I'd choose Nikki at this moment.
Still don't like Cena lobbying for his main squeeze to keep the title though.

The whole "team" angle is awful. It just makes the entire Divas division look like catty high school cliques.
While I like the Horsewomen coming in & just steamrolling everyone idea, I would've almost preferred Becky/Charlotte/Sasha come in as a trio and do it. Not because I don't like Bayley, I love her, but she's a kid friendly character. Having her come in & beat people down doesn't fit the gimmick. Her in NXT a while longer is good right now.
