Wow, that is amazing that he lived to tell about that. KS was right in his spot, prime time sports starting after 10:30 P.M.
NBC should get a lot shit for this whole mess, not the wreck but why this race started when it did, awful.

Maybe it was NBC calling the shots. I highly doubt they want to interrupt their shitty morning and daytime TV schedule for a race. The Cable networks seem more willing to do that.

They have got to stop racing like that there. They need to lose the plates and just make them drive cars with smaller engines.

Junior is the goods. I watched the whole thing. They interviewed him after that of course and he was visibly shaken. He was on the verge of tears because of that crash. He didn't care for a second that he won the race and his only concern was for the drivers, fans and everybody involved. He wasn't alone. The announcers, other drivers they talked to, people on Twitter, yours truly, all seemed kinda stunned. Numb. It was one of the worse things I've ever seen. The grave concern for what was and what could've been was evident in everybody. It had to be especially tough for someone like Junior who lost his father at Daytona. What a class act.

Now looking at the comments in that article I'm reminded that not only did his father die at Daytona but it too was a #3 Chevy.
