This show wasn't even about the shitty music....it was about trying to have a VMA moment. This thing is on its last legs. I remember back in the day when it was full of rockers and they were all carrying their drinks up to the podium....it was great. I remember CC say fuck you to whatever song Poison was going to do and busting out the opening riff to talk dirty to me....and then getting fired.

This has to be the last one of these things. Taylor gave them a big FU and is not showing up. Lady Gaga did the same. The list of performers is horrendous. Its is from top to bottom shitty pop/hip hop. This isn't even going to be fun bad to watch. Unless a portal to hell opens up in the floor and sucks jaden smith into it during his presentation I just can't see anything interesting happening. The ONLY redeeming presenters are the olympians.

Apparently it is but the list of performers and presenters is so small that you almost have to think its about over with. It was always kind of fun to watch it in recent years and see what new was coming down the pipe but that is no longer the case. It still kind of bums me out that it has come to this. It was great in the late 80's, early 90's and early 2000's. I guess since they removed 100 percent of the programming that pertained to music this was inevitable.

I've turned it on for a bit. I get joy in asking myself "who the fuck is that person?" at least 12 times during this thing.
Rihanna starts & fun fact, I saw her in concert with Kanye in 2007 (before he became a mega douche). Chris Brown showed up & sang with her on stage. It was about a month before we all realized he's a giant piece of shit & beat up Rihanna.
It was a really good show.

After Puffy just struggled reading the prompter, he gave an award to Drake, who wasn't there.
Then they cut back to some overly fake enthusiastic broad. It said "Coming Up Kanye West" on the bottom.
So in that regard, I'm tapping out already. Fuck this show.
