I will say that I've heard great things about the live experiences, especially at Alpine, and if I were still the young mega stud that I used to be, I'd probably go to the shows just for the atmosphere. Aside from everything else going on, all of my Alpine music experiences were amazing. Agreed. My only questionable time was when we crashed and probably all should've died while coming home from a Stevie Nicks concert. But that was long after we had left the venue.

I listened to that crash into me link and i hate it just as much as I ever have. I did date a girl who was obsessed with them but I always told her i hated them back then so its not that.

Hum rocked!!! well at least that one song did. I have never been around a really nasty pit. Its usually very tame and everyone is helping anyone that falls down. It looks more like bumper dancing. Just bounce around off of eachother. My best friend's brother used to play guitar on occasion for Hum. My friend wasn't able to make a concert, and assholes started getting weird. I saw a group of girls getting bounced around, and I tried to just do a "security" role. They were getting killed, and a pit formed. I did what needed to be done.

I would never be able to see a thing if I was in a pit.

I don't know if this Drop In would love Dave as much as I do. But I also think that's why I'm saying fuck this Drop In. I used to enjoy and like shit. Oh, and have awesome times. Even if it meant I was close to death. Or just really intoxicated.

Still waiting for these studs to make the list....buts its ok cause i know we aren't to the top 10 yet. When I DJ'd, I'd always give someone a chance with a song like this one. As long as I knew he wasn't a Kaner, and actually had a shot. 80's rock wasn't always a hit, so I worked it in like it was my job. Well, I guess it was my job. What I'm saying is if a knob was sweating me for a song that sucked, wasn't getting anyone laid, and was just awful, I told him to go fuck himself. Politely. Or directly.

I don't know where my cd is today...it exists but idk where in all my old stuff it is. I do remember that being a staple during that awesome year of Pumpkins, Radiohead (when they rocked), Bush, Dig (my favs that no one remembers). It was the hard rock right before Green Day and The Offspring broke big. I think it was freshman yr of HS and the punk rock explosion was sophomore year.

It was the hard rock right before Green Day and The Offspring broke big. I think it was freshman yr of HS and the punk rock explosion was sophomore year. I'm pretty sure I still have each, and every one of those discs/albums. Story time with Drop In. After I graduated, the lease ran through the Summer. I decided my graduation present to myself would be working my bar for $35 and free drinks every night. There were other benefits. My friend and I shut down the all of the regular Summer bars. My bar owner just retired, and has told me he wouldn't have what he has without me. We were sitting in the DJ booth I had built, and Living on a Prayer was on. We had just shut down every bar in town. We were the only one. You couldn't move in the place, in Summer, so it was hot as fuck. I knew Living on a Prayer could advance the scene. So I dropped the volume for every other lyric. The place erupted. The bar might have been literally shaking, as Monsoon would say. I grabbed my buddy, and suggested we take in this moment. This is one of those moments you capture and take with you. One of the greatest Summer's ever.

When I was in charge of music, I used to do this all the time. Including weddings. Usually I'd work to the masses, but always work in awesome nonsense.

45. QueenI was always kind of hot and cold on Queen. I loved them in grade school. Then didn't listen to them all that much in my 20's or so but later appreciated them once again. I mean I've always loved Another One Bites The Dust and of course We Will Rock You / We Are The Champions were incredible the first 847 times you heard them. Crazy Little Thing Called Love was a fun little song that I liked a lot as well. And of course Freddie was a killer frontman and one of the purest singers you will ever see perform LIVE. 44. Ted NugentI mean dude sings a whole song about the kitty!!! Cat Scratch Fever is a masterpiece. Free For All, Stranglehold, Little Miss Dangerous are all songs I love. The one weird one for me was Fred Bear. I was always like come on man, you're singing to a fucking bear. This is weird. Until I said that to one of my coworkers one day and he informed me that Fred Bear was some hunter guy. Anyways, that was weird. 43. Elton JohnThere were pretty much 4 bands/artists that had a stigma about them for various reasons during my yute. And anywhere from like my early teens to like 25 or so, you had to tread kind of lightly in expressing your love for any of them. Those 4 were Queen, Bon Jovi, Rod Stewart and Elton John. I wish I could've enjoyed them all a bit more back then but what are you gonna do? Anywho, Elton John is a musical genius. I don't even know what songs to start listing. His library is loaded. Honky Cat, Levon, Bennie, Rocket Man, Your Song and on and on and on. Candle in the Wind is exceptional and I can listen to it over and over. Both versions. First the tribute to Marilyn Monroe and then the version for Princess Diana. But my absolute favorite is Tiny Dancer which also happened to appear in my favorite movie of all time: Almost Famous. 42. Bruce SpringsteinI knew him more for his 80's stuff as he came out with The River in 1980 and then Born In The U.S.A. in 1984. And he had a lot of catchy songs in there like Hungry Heart, Cadillac Ranch, Glory Days, Dancing In The Dark, etc.. etc...but his real genius was in his earlier work that at some point I went back and discovered. Blinded by the Light, Spirit in the Night, Rosalita, Born to Run, Thunder Road were all early classics amongst many more. Rosalita is probably my favorite. 41. Cheap TrickThey're one of the stranger looking bands I've ever liked. The lead singer truly does look like a rocker. And then the weirdo dude just looks like a weirdo and somebody that would appear in something Mike Wickett liked, and then the other guy looked like a mailman or something and then finally the other, other guy also kind of looks like a rocker. But man did they ever rock. Hell, I think the originals are STILL together and playing!! Songs I loved included: I Want You to Want Me, Surrender, Dream Police, Voices, Gonna Raise Hell but my absolute favorite was Stop This Game.

I think he sells himself short there. he sounds 2 dimensional if that makes sense. I feel like he wrote the words before the song and just fit some boring riffs to it.
