I know the consensus is to shit on Sting and by no means do I think he is what he once was. However, to bring in a guy like that who has never been at the E and to start out 0-2 makes absolutely no sense to me. If he had beat Triple H at mania and then we're to face Rollins here it would at least hold some weight. This was stupid. Sting is pointless and not interesting from here on out. Fucking dumb...unless he feuded with the Wyatt's. I think we know why this happened. Oh, and you and I don't hate Hunter. But this was for Hunter and Vince's ego. It's Crockett buying the Watts territory. Except Sting was the only guy that made it out of that strong. |

Also, I think the Trips vs Sting fued should have built more upon creating some type of backstory about when Hunter was at WCW and he could have claimed Sting kept him down or some shit. The E vs WCW thing just seemed very forced and misplaced. Remember when Dolph Ziggler was white hot? Fucking waste. |

They could've used footage from the WCW days to pimp the network too. "While you were winning world titles, i was busting my ass in the opening contests. But cut to 6 years later & you're on a sinking ship, while I'm the King of Kings in the WWE." Huge missed opportunities to build the Hunter/Sting match. Instead, we got nostalgia flashbacks with DX & the NWO.
Only reason Sting lost was so Vince could piss on the final remaining ashes of WCW. There's no other reason. Sting was the FINAL guy to never come to the WWE & Vince had his family beat him. Totally agree a win over Trips would've given this match tonight some reasoning.
I'm fine with Rollins retaining over established names, but when the last guy & next guys ages combine are 104, that's not good. However, there's a reason why Reigns hasn't gotten his one on one with Rollins. It'll happen by the Rumble I bet.
Sting looked every bit of his age tonight. So did Kane.

as much as I can't stand old hacks like Kane and Big show and even Sting.....it at least means Rollins isn't losing the belt anytime soon to fucking MAW Cena. I just have a bitter perception of everything knowing that Cena will win the title and thus have it for the record breaking 16th time. yuck
