That worked tonight. They allowed Reigns to do the only thing he is good at and that is to lose it and channel his inner sasquatch and just destroy someone. The problem with it involving HHH is that he is now going to have to talk...and talk alot and that is something he really sucks at. The boo's are going to return with every word that comes out of his mouth.
My recommendation would be to have him say but a few words and be kind of a dismissive bad ass until he gets the belt. Get the belt at Mania and then go with the heel turn and you are golden.

I liked Summerslam, Money in the Bank and maybe Battleground more. I went back to look & honestly, this show is probably in the Top 5 PPVs of the year.
Which I know isn't saying much.

I could see them firing Reigns tomorrow night. Or.......I could see Trips doing the "you want a title shot? then you're going to have to go the distance to get it. You're the NUMBER ONE entrant in the Royal Rumble."
God I don't want that, because he'll win. The firing angle is completely overdone though. Not sure where they go from here though.
Reigns needs to come out tomorrow super serious though, no smirks, no bullshit jokes, no cutesy shit. Serious Reigns or nothing.

The opener was solid (contrary to what JR and Douchebag Keller think).
Rusev and Ryback was a Raw match.
The tables match was okay for what it was.
Swagger and Del Rio bucked the odds and had a nice little match. Way too many superfluous chair shots though.
The Divas match wasn't good.
Owens and Ambrose was disappointing. Not just in the finish but in the match itself. Didn't seem to have much going.
I liked the main event. It was brutal. Sheamus winning was and mild surprise because Reigns failed. Again. But the post match angle has promise.
Overall 6.76/10

Here's my question, do you have Reigns win the title at the Rumble? After attacking the boss, one would assume he wouldn't be just given a title shot at the next PPV.
Clearly Sheamus/Reigns isn't a Mania main event though. If you have Reigns win at Mania, fine, whatever, it was bound to happen & it's what THEY want. But against Sheamus, it'd be a disaster.
Do you have Ambrose win the Rumble? And have Reigns/Ambrose? Honestly their match at Survivor Series was underwhelming.
Have Brock win the Rumble & do Reigns/Brock?

Suspend him tomorrow night and then he returns as a surprise entrant in the Rumble. HHH can be extra assholey building up to that.

He wins the Rumble and has to beat HHH in the Mania opener, and Lesnar? in the main event. They will replicate the Daniel Bryan run with their guy. Because it's creative. Maybe Vince will be in his corner in the ultimate real life scenario.

I was thinking maybe Triple H vs Reigns at the Rumble. If Reigns wins, he gets a title shot at Fastlane (or the Feb PPV). He wins the title at Fastlane & heads into Mania champion.
That way you don't have Trips fighting for the title at Mania. You also keep Reigns out of the Rumble. You have your golden boy get the title heading into Mania & you can have someone new win the Rumble & main event Mania with Reigns.

With so little depth on the card they aren't going to suspend him and keep him off TV for more than a day.
