Fun Fact: There has never been a MNR on a February 29th. There likely will not ever be another one ... the next 02/29 that falls on a Monday will be in the year 2044. I hope to be dead long before then; Raw likely will be dead too.
Speaking of dead, will the Undertaker arrive for Raw to state if/why he will work (ha!) for the Authority? Will he directly confront Shane? Will we get 20 minutes of Haitch face and Steph shriek? Will I make a nice stool later? Probably not; just did an hour ago, thanks for asking.
They're in Nashville at the Bridgestone Center tonight, the last best chance Raw has to not risk destruction of the episode by a smarky crowd. I'm not advocating the crowd be the star of the show, but if the house feels as a group they need to do something to entertain themselves if they collectively find the product lacking, well, them's the breaks, and at least provides an air of mystery as to what they might do/say/chant.
Haven't done this in a while, but the last time Raw was at the Bridgestone Center was quite recently - 11/23/2015, and the card was as follows:
DM R-Truth defeated Adam Rose (3:24 minutes)
DM The Miz defeated Zack Ryder (7:13 minutes)
1 The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper) defeated Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley) (7:49 minutes)
2 Sasha Banks defeated Becky Lynch (4:06 minutes)
3 Neville defeated Mark Henry (2:25 minutes)
4 Goldust, Titus O'Neil and Darren Young defeated Stardust, Konnor and Viktor (6:11 minutes)
5 WWE Divas Title Match: Charlotte (c) vs. Paige ended without a winner as a double countout (14:56 minutes)
6 Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler defeated Kevin Owens and Tyler Breeze (5:27 minutes)
7 Roman Reigns defeated Rusev by disqualification (18:46 minutes)
Rusev tweeted that he has an important announcement tonight. I'm sure it will be riveting.
Pointless Diva segments. I know it's going to be plural and it makes me angrier still. Are there actually a shit-ton of young girls that watch this show and thus feel somehow empowered by it, or is it corporate grandstanding? I don't know, I don't sit in on those types of meetings.
Apparently last night at the house show in Evansville, IN, people started filing out during the main event. I was not surprised to read that as I've already posited that this could happen if Reigns is in the last match of the WM card. However, what did surprise me is Roman Reigns wasn't part of the match ... it was Dean vs. KO! Why folks were walking out of this match I couldn't say; maybe they were trying to kill the town, but I wouldn't suspect so. It's Indiana so it could just be morons a-plenty. One can only hope KO actually brings himself and the belt out for a segment or two on, you know, the flagship live TV show - unlike last week.
Are the Wyatts doing anything? I literally can't remember.
The Dudleys, Jericho, Styles, R-Truth/Golddust, the New Day, and the rest of the gang of usual idiots - there and here - will all congregate to make something already fairly terrible so, so much worse with their combined efforts.
Have a nice day.
