One week ago, the Yahoo "experts" said Victor Cruz had no value. You guys seemed to agree as nobody claimed him on waivers last week. So last Thursday, I grabbed him as a free agent. After owning him for four days and not even playing him, I accepted an offer for him today for the #3 selection in our draft. That might be some kind of record for a player increasing in value.

With my top two RBs injured yesterday, I needed a #1 rb. Not sure what I will do if Peterson, Charles, Miller and Stewart are ever healthy the same week. Probably trade with somebody who needs a back.

Coasters
1st round draft pick: Adrian Peterson, out for the year week 2
2nd round Draft pick: Keenan Allen, out for the year week 1
3rd round draft pick: Jamaal Charles, originally expected back week 3, now doubtful until week 6
5th round draft pick: Jonathan Stewart, out indefinitely
10th round draft pick: Willie Snead, turf toe, out at least one week but likely hobbled indefinitely
Free agent pickup: Shane Vereen, played two weeks, out for the year
Not bitching, not looking for sympathy...but wow. This is my 36th season of Fantasy Football and never have seen anything like this.
I'm using up all my available transactions just to be able to field a team each week.

Yeah, that's a rough stretch three weeks in.
My co-owner is a pure genius. Our team always ends up better by the end of the year due to shrewd, timely pick-ups. He started Christine Michael this week. When I saw the guy go off on Fantasy Cast, I texted him and said "who is Christine Michael?" He dead panned, "our RB from Seattle."

this league is really tough to overcome a rash of injuries. It's the only league I've ever played in that limits transactions. If you have a rash of injuries, you're doubly screwed...the injuries themselves and the limited number of transactions you have over a season to try to do something about it.

Limiting transactions is strange. Our league just moved to an auction waiver wire because it was a race every Tuesday morning to pick up free agents. But the larger problem in our league is the lack of available talent if your guys get hurt. It is a 10 team league, and it can be difficult to find two healthy starting RB's that will get a fair number of carries. And bye weeks are hell.

Ours is a 12 team league. There are zero running backs available who have been getting more than 2-5 carries a game. And we have only played 3 weeks. It is what it is.
