I really liked that ending to the main event.
15% of the show was really good. Other 85% was absolutely terrible.
Styles turn. Steph's shorts. Main event. That's about it.

Just a post-show note I just saw ... in the commercial for Goldberg, he's apparently riding in the back of a cop car and the reflection of a typical highway green sign pretty clearly (albeit backwards) says 'Suplex City'.
Do with that what you will.

Do with that what you will. Makes sense. I still think we could see those two go at it again. There were a lot of reasons for it to not be a good match last time around. This time, while Goldberg will be terrible, Brock won't want to embarrass himself. Goldberg hasn't seen a payday like this in at least a decade. HOF also another carrot dangling out there for him (payday), He may fall in line and be a good soldier for one last cash grab. I would not hate seeing these two at SummerSlam quite honestly. I'm not saying it will be good, but it won't be as bad as last time.

Not interested.
Use new talent and let them get over.
Fuck this bringing back nostalgia acts.

To me it seems like you're wasting Brock in that case. I absolutely get what you're saying Woodridge, only bad thing is, I could absolutely see WWE wanting to do that. How would they build that? The most unstoppable monster we've seen in years in Brock Lesnar.....vs the most unstoppable monster in WCW back in 1998. They've fought one another once before, which you can see on the award winning WWE Network, nevermind the "You Sold Out" & "Hey, Hey Goodbye" chants directed at BOTH men. And nevermind that the match was slower than Vader running the ropes.
I think of Brock vs Goldberg 2, I immediately think...
Here's hoping Bray is healthy & we get Brock/Bray. Hell I'd prefer Bo Dallas vs Brock. At least Bo would be funny & bump like crazy. Everytime he'd throw Goldberg, I'd wince because the dude is 50.

By the way, is NXT dissolving? Does the LIVE Smackdown and the touring of Smackdown eliminate NXT? I mean the next PPV is called The End, no?

Yeah but it means the end of Balor/Joe. I think this CW Open will get a lot of people signed off of it. Plus, there are some big name ROH guys whose contracts are running out soon. Plus guys like Roode & Young will be showcased soon.
I think NXT will be fine. It'll take some time to really grow it, but they've done it before & they'll do it again.
I see quite a few people being called up, but I don't just see The Drifter being by his lonesome in the PC.

This brand split is already gonna cause the E to double up on everything, no? Like the production staff, agents, ring people, drivers, cameramen etc?

I forgot to bring this up. She looked great as usual but she still has that weird "Is she pregnant?" thing going on.

They already have two separate crews touring on the main roster. NXT might slow down a bit right after the split starts, but they're touring to completely different buildings.

My argument was more of why I think WWE might do it and that I think it can't be worse than last time. I think from a storyline perspective you can sell it as Goldberg sees what Brock has done since their meeting. Feels like it could easily be him beating the undertaker and others but simply didn't have his heart in it. Tells Brock that their last meeting neither had their heart in it and that isn't the way he wants to be remembered. Tries to bait Brock into one big money payday, yada, yada. Again not what I'm looking for but this still seems like an odd character to push for their video game who was only mainstream for 2-3 years...15 years ago. This isn't Hogan. Brock is going to be the main guy in the game and it seems like everyone has wanted to forget that terrible match between the two. Why make it the spotlight for a video game then? Unless they redo it? I think Goldberg wants that payday. This match benefits no one except maybe video game sales. It's all weird to say the least.

I assume they are pushing guys like Warrior, Sting & now Goldberg as downloadable/playable characters to also make people more interested in the Network. At least garner some interest, since Goldberg essentially hasn't been relevant in the wrestling industry since 2004, people interested in him can order the Network & "relive his classic moments!". I hope this is all that it is. I'd much prefer Brock/Reigns, Brock/Wyatt, Brock/Rollins, hell, Brock/Joe would blow the tits off Summerslam. I agree with what was said before, should focus on your current roster rather than trotting out old folks from the past. I hope Brock would say no, but money is money. That said, I just saw this & it gives me hope that this won't lead to a match.....
It was reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that 2K Sports signed the deal with Bill Goldberg for the WWE 2K17 video game, not WWE. It should also be noted that they couldn't include Goldberg in the game or even make a deal without Vince McMahon's approval. However, we've seen with The Ultimate Warrior and Sting that a 2K deal could lead to something with WWE. Credit: LordsOfPain.net
