His supporters love this. Not all of them. I can't believe that. I think there were a lot of blue collar hard workers who just didn't want Hillary and wanted him to shake up Washington. I get that. But he is showing that he has zero understanding of complex issues and no sense of nuance that it takes to navigate politically. He is also not "draining the swamp". Those people who voted for him based on that have to feel disenfranchised. If not then we are all fucked. I want to believe it. |

The shirtless Putin guy is the only funny part of the show. Way worse guy but I don't sense the vile and hatred dripping through the impersonation like some of the others.

We've also never had anyone hold the office who is this spineless, thin-skinned, full of hatred, and who mocks people he doesn't understand or doesn't like either. It's just a reflection of where we are. Makes all the sense in the world to me. Before I get ripped for being an extreme liberal, I tend to lean slightly more right. This isn't a party thing for me. Fuck, I hate parties. SNL hasn't been this funny in years in terms of their political humor and satire. |
