Why wouldn't Jericho want KO to retain? He'd fucking wrestle KO for the World Title at WrestleMania that way.
So mind numbingly stupid.
You got your moment hugging your wife & kid with the belt Bill. Big whoop.

Somehow in one night they managed to ruin what were perhaps the 3 most intriguing Raw storylines of the past year.

KS you're the resident Raw defender & I'm the SD defender. I know you've been coming around saying the past few weeks of SD have been better than Raw, but even you can't deny that the Elimination Chamber PPV was leaps & bounds better than this atrocity tonight.

You'll get no denial from me. This was horrendous.

I'm less upset by the Strowman loss than everyone else.
It sucks but he looked strong as hell in the match and lost because of his ill-fated decision to go to the top rope.
The rationale that's continued to be shoved down our throats by WWE apologists of part-time stars being best for business pisses me off. Because it's only that way because the fans have been conditioned to think that way.
Would the Attitude Era have ever happened if Vince didn't trust his guys and instead tries to bring back the previous generation's stars to go over at WrestleMania? Of course not. The talent got themselves over and it became one of the most beloved and talent rich eras in wrestling history.
Now fans know that guys like Undertaker, HHH, Goldberg, Lesnar are the real stars and the guys like Owens, Rollins, Zayn, Joe, etc. can't compare.
You kill your business for 11 months just to grab the casual fan for Mania.
It's insanity.

You're sacrificing the guys who are busting their asses 4-5 times a week for guys who are there 4-5 times a year. It's so dumb.
I get you want to bring in your big names for Mania (said it a bunch, it's no longer a show about storylines, it's the All Star Game), but how can you possibly expect to make new stars if you keep feeding them to the "big draws" who are only getting older, thus making it look even more ridiculous?
The names like Taker, HHH and especially Goldberg & Lesnar, THEIR NAMES SHOULD BE THE DRAW, they don't need a title in their program. You put the World title in a feud with guys who are going to be there after Mania, not who are there for a paycheck & bailing.
It's not that difficult, but the older Vince gets, the more he's about the short term & not the long term.

Randomone brings up an excellent point that we aren't considering at all.
This whole short term satisfaction with the big names could be just as much about Vince getting to see/create everything he wants to before he can't do this anymore or passes away. I think there is definitely something to that and it's a factor we have to start considering. The thought of him not getting everything he wants in before he dies just eats at him. I think the idea of mortality is weighing on him.
