I saw absolutely no need for KO to win last night. Then again, I wanted them to main event Mania for the Universal so I didn't come anywhere near what I wanted with that one.
I just figured KO is 32 and should have plenty of Mania moments remaining. Even though KO deserved it for his great year, I thought Jericho deserved it a bit more more various reasons.
And as I've said 100 times, Owens could have got his heat and the belt back by "retiring" Jericho either tonight or at the next PPV.

I'm hoping New Day comes out and says that Big E is embarking on a solo career and Xavier/Kofi will remain a tag team. Hopefully next week they split them up and Big E ends up on a different show than the other two.
If they do keep them together, then I still want Big E as a singles only wrestler.

Before I see the Hardyz come out, (just in case I change my mind after seeing them and actually like the whole thing) but can I just say how much of a crock it is to give the tag teams such shit to work with script-wise for the past year and then decide that the way to clean up the mess that Vince & Dunn and them created is to further shit on the existing roster, bring these two guys in and actually give them the straps at Mania???!!! What a slap in the face to all the guys in the division that have busted their ass all damn year. I think it's disgusting. Bringing them back tonight instead would've been something I was just fine with. Enzo & Cass aren't a great team in the ring but they probably deserved the straps last night. Even if it would've been for only one night. Anyways.... Its because one, they're the Hardyz at Wrestlemania in a ladder match, and two, they were already the most over tag team in the world with the Broken gimmick. They didn't need to win, but it makes sense and I'm fine with it. All those teams you think got buried in one night just lost to The Hardy Boyz returning at Mania in a Ladder match. That's not a burial. |

For the record, I'm watching on Hulu, and the intro with Reigns is edited. Its just Taker chants for 5 mins, Reigns coming to the ring to normal level boos, they chant go away quietly once and he says its his yard. Then the mic somehow gets way louder when he leaves and you hear the real boos for 10 seconds before they cut away...I hate them.

Just read that Ryder & Emma aren't dating anymore. Instead he's been dating Chelsea Green, who is Laurel Van Ness in TNA.
Bad move, broski. Chelsea is lovely don't get me wrong, but c'mon, Emma is on a whole other level.

Post Raw Goldberg speech was also excellent, might I add. He has been one of the best talkers in RAW the past year. To the point and has authenticity. He has limitations and for the most part stays within them. Less is more. |

Aside from the week he lost his place in his promo like 4 times because he concussed himself during his entrance, I agree with you Woodridge. The dude was out there not to cut a big huge over the top promo, it was straight & to the point, which is refreshing in a promotion filled with 15-20 minute promos.
Also I think I found what the crowd was cheering during the Sheamus/Cesaro/Enzo/Cass match. When they were chanting "Doo Doo Doooooo Sheamus & Cesaro". Why in the hell they were chanting to this song is beyond me, but I'll be damned if they didn't make the match interesting.

During last night's booking meeting, it was brought up that with few exceptions there's nothing really new under the sun as far as angles go anymore. I had a novel idea that the Hardy Boyz should act like the Hardy Boyz on Monday night, but have them work Smackdown in their broken form ... nobody ever acknowledges that they're the same people, no winks to the camera, it never even comes up in discussion. Let them carry two gimmicks at once ... plus on Smackdown then they could progress their feud, of a kind, with Bray Wyatt or whatever (Randy won and did whatever, hooray give him a new flock and carry on ... or, better still, get his dopey brother and him in a program with the broken Hardys, let it run its course for a few months, put the Rotunda kids over, and that's it for the Hardy's working Thursday nights, while carrying on on Raw. Great idea? Maybe not. Certainly different. edit: Oh, and it was decided that CiJ really, really needs a CPAP machine ... not joking. Get a sleep study done fool. I have one and when I pass out drunk on the recliner it does me no good. |
