Doesn't seem to be a very well kept secret. Surprised they didn't try to sneak her in the backdoor.

Well anywho, it's David Herro saying that AJ/Brock could be the greatest match of the last 15 years.

I understand how he's coming to the conclusion. I don't know if it will be correct.

It's still TBA for who will be the 5th woman on Team SD on Sunday. Nattie & Paige have been brought up the most, but recently I've heard another name, Tits Bella, which from a storyline standpoint, makes the most sense.
I really don't want to see her back, but last year Nattie attacked her and she took her spot on the team. So Nikki could do the same as payback for that.
I'd honestly much rather have Paige on SD than Raw, but I think it'll be Nikki on Sunday. The Cena's both return.

I was thinking about how they could make the RAW title picture interesting again going into Rumble. Since there are so many current guys on the roster that have had the belt before or could be positioned as a contender, why not create a huge tag team tournament with WWE singles champion contenders? Do a 16-team tourney. Have those matches take place at the very beginning of RAW (to create storyline the rest of the night) and have some be the main event of RAW. Create teams that really make you wonder who is going to win every match. The suspense on these television shows are completely non-existent. I don't give a shit about this product before because nothing is really ever on the line. The winning tag team of this tournament get to take on Brock Lesnar for the title at Rumble in a Triple Threat match. Here's how I do this.
Tomorrow night Kurt Angle opens the show laying out this tournament. You could take a page out of the Masters from the PGA. All past champions are eligible. Wrestlers are free to form their own teams. For those that have never been champion, we will have a set of "Commissioner's Exemptions" matches tonight. These single matches will determine if you become eligible for the tournament. So, lets look at the Titantron and start with who is eligible. Jeff Hardy will not be in the tournament due to his injury. Names appear one at a time.
Big Show Bray Wyatt Dean Ambrose Finn Balor Kane Mark Henry The Miz Roman Reigns Sheamus Seth Rollins
This leaves 6 slots that Kurt Angle will fill by the end of the night. Kurt announces the first exemption match will start next.
Cesaro defeats Matt Hardy. Sheamus is on Cesaro's corner and without saying anything make it clear they will enter as a tag team.
Cut to The Shield. Dean and Seth want to remain as a team. They wish Reigns luck, but know he'll figure it out.
Next match, Braun Strowman defeats Rhyno. Reigns comes down and ask Braun to partner with him. Lights go out. Reigns is out cold. Bray Wyatt is in the ring. Bray makes his plea to Braun to come back to the family. Braun clothelines him and does whatever "Braun moves" to him. Braun's teammate unresolved at this point.
Goldust defeats R-Truth. Goldust walks up to Booker T and points to a shot of the title belt on the titantron, points back to him. Basically making the case that Booker technically could be in the tournament. Booker eventually tells him no.
MAIN EVENT: Samoa Joe defeats Jason Jordan. Jordan puts on an inspirational fight against Joe. As much as I hate this cop out (one of you can come up with something better), Triple H's music hits while Jordan is standing and Joe is on the ground. Jordan had screwed H the night before at Survivor Series. This is enough of a distraction for Joe to lock in a submission win. Joe is in. Triple H makes his way down to the ring (while Joe leaves), grabs a mic and talks down to Jordan. Eye for and Eye type speech. Then Triple H says Kurt didn't count everyone backstage properly for his tournament. "I'm not only a former champ, the but the best champ yada yada yada. I'm in." Triple H begins to attack Jordan. Out comes Kurt Angle for the save. He gets in H's face. They do that yelling starting shove thing and at some point Kurt Angle says on the microphone, "you're right. I did forget about you. But did you forget about me? I'm in."
Tournament participants set. Here's what we know so far:
Rollins+Ambrose Cesaro+Sheamus
The next Raw all the teams must be submitted. Lots of backstage pandering, as the night goes on Triple H and Kurt Angle both get denied by multiple potential tag teamers. No one trusts H. Everyone is concerned Angle would be a liability. Could be some funny moments. Triple H asking Kane (who simply replies Katie Vick and walks away), Reigns, Big Show, goes up to Goldust and then shakes his head because he can't do it. Kurt Angle could ask Miz later in the night as his options shrink. So, here's how it shakes up to end the night.
Balor+Hardy Big Show+Strowman Kane+Samoe Joe Bray+Goldust Miz+Reigns
Which by the end of the night, Kurt Angle and Triple H realize by process of elimination they will be the final team in the tournament.
Angle+Triple H
So take a look at these teams. The way I put this together you really are looking at two teams that you just don't buy making it the the Triple Threat WWE title match. With that said, you can have a Bray+Goldust team beat some team like Miz and Reigns in an upset pouring some hot water on a feud. Keeps it unpredictable and create and fuels current storylines. I'd have H and Angle lost at some point before the final match to build their feud.
I'd probably end the tournament with Rollins+Ambrose vs Big Show+Strowman. You can see Vince going either way on this. The beauty is if Strowman loses he goes right into the Royal Rumble the next week. Rollins-Ambrose-Lesnar for the title at Royal Rumble would not suck. You really could go any kind of way though.
Thoughts?

We should have a thread where we have our own rosters, write out our own shows & be the booker.
Sorry I'm just getting around to reading that Woodridge, but I dig it. It's almost a Lethal Lottery, but it actually makes sense. Putting the remaining two guys vs Brock would be interesting. Really enjoy this though.
I'm all for that. Sad thing is they only have like 2 guys who could be seen as legit threats to Brock that he hasn't absolutely murdered already. You look at the names on the roster & you think they're loaded, but in terms of actual main event players, it's sad they don't have more.
That's been the biggest problem for years.

I'd be down for that show idea I do that already by myself. Would we draft our rosters? And should it be competition based like we vote on who had the best show that week ect.?

Tell you what. I’d have Reigns team lose to Ambrose and Rollins. Then I’d have Rollins or Ambrose come close to pinning Brock for the win and having Reigns come out and screw them. Reigns jealousy over one of them beating Lesnar for the title gets the best of him. Heel turn. Eventually builds up to a Shield triple threat wrestlemania.

I wish I had to time to do a Be The Booker type thing again. I did it about 5 years ago and it was really fun. I remember I had Bray Wyatt on my roster & wrote promos for him and created his character, after only seeing 1 promo from him in FCW.
Woodridge I'd really like your idea of building up a new concept to determine who gets a shot at Brock. It'd make Raw more of a must watch show. It's just been the same format for years. They need to shake it up big time.

The Marine 6 will star The Miz, Becky Lynch & Shawn Michaels.
Is this franchise that successful that it warrants 6 movies? I know it's straight to DVD so they don't cost much, but still.
Plus what a random trio. Then again the last one had the Miz, Social Outcasts, Naomi & Maryse

If ROH does launch their streaming service with history, I'll be tempted to cancel the network and get that.

There's the Highspots Wrestling Network. 10 bucks a month. There's a ton of PWG, documentaries, independent shows, series (Kevin Steen Show, Best Friends with Chuck & Trent, Hitting the Highspots, An Officer & a Gentleman, etc)
I've wanted to get it before, but just never did. Figured I own a ton of PWG dvds anyway.
The amount of product out there for wrestling is incredible. New Japan World is the absolute best.
