Looked at the spoilers. So happy this show is taped. I don't have to waste my time on it.
There's not another Raw PPV for another month. So I assumed this show would be pretty sluggish to begin with.

They actually had me believing that Truth & Goldie had a shot there. That match made Cesaro & Sheamus look awfully strong. I like the booking.

This show has been absolutely loaded with actual wrestling. And brutality. Very enjoyable. Still have the cruisers coming up as well as Ambrose/Wyatt.
Joe & Rollins was terrific.

I don't know what people want anymore. That's a fair question. I'm burnt out. I really don't care about anyone on either roster, even though the rosters are STACKED. Obviously this is the downtime of the wrestling season. Book by numbers scripts is what I need to go away. Smackdown does it to an extent. Everyone talks about the Attitude Era for the wrong reason. We don't need to go back to porn stars and crotch chops. The reason the late 90's popped was insanely talented, super over stars on top and surprise on the shows. You had to watch because you didn't know what would happen next. I could not watch the current product for two months and have you guys fill me in quickly. I'd be upset I missed maybe one thing outside of the threads. Again, a good portion of this could be on me. I'm not supposed to be really jacked for WWE at my advanced age. But I kind of feel like engineers are digging ditches right now. The talent is doing many of the right things. I just don't care. |

When they get to this point of the year, it feels like a chore. They clearly don't put a whole lot into it, so why should I? There's a LOT of other wrestling out there to keep my attention (New Japan, ROH, PWG, hell I can find EVOLVE & British stuff online too). It just feels like the same old same old ALL THE TIME. Like I've said before, if it wasn't for this board, I'd probably have stopped watching sooner. It just doesn't feel like must see TV anymore. Smackdown I enjoy more because it flows by quicker. But even that doesn't keep my attention most of the time.
Raw could have incredibly solid matches, but if they don't amount to anything, who gives a shit? Your main brand can't feud over a World Title because the champ only has to be around a handful of times a year. You did this shit already with Brock 2 years ago. I know by all means, this should strengthen your IC title by default, but if you end up going with a feud you just finished with on Smackdown a few months ago, why would fans want to tune into it?
They have an incredibly talented roster, but it feels like they've been going nowhere for years now. There's not a major storyline to draw people's interest.

I've just lost interest in watching WWE.
I'll still go out of my way to watch ROH, New Japan, Progress, EVOLVE, etc. I don't really know why.
It's not some anti-WWE bias or anything as I like watching NXT and the PPVs. But Raw and Smackdown don't do anything for me on a weekly basis. It's probably due to the post-Mania letdown but nothing is "must-see" on WWE right now.

I just know it was chock full of actual wrestling and they really let most matches go for awhile. Plus most (every?) match seemed like it was filled with brutality and violence. Not sure there was huge storyline tie-ins but I just enjoyed the show immensely for what it was.
