Why did Jeff Hardy have to escape again? The ring announcer specified both members be out of the ring at the same time for it to count. This match has a lot of issues due to rules. |

Good pre-show match.
Great opener. Thought the Miz and Maryse were simply outstanding during the first 30 minutes of this show. They are so freaking good. The Miz might be the only white American male that has mastered being a true heel while not having to be foreign to get legit heat from the crowd. Those two pay attention to the details. Their run has been one of the reasons I held on so long watching - besides you guys. I could go on but I won't. Kinda thought Ambrose sucked at selling. Was Ziggler over-the-top not good.
First time I think I've seen Alexa in person. That part did not suck.
I'd have to go back and look, but this might be the first time I've seen the Hardys wrestle in person. Nothing is coming to mind right now. Maybe a house show?
Thank you Jeff for the spot. That was part of the draw for me. Didn't like the finish. Not sure what this does but maybe this starts a losing streak to a point of deletion? Please?
I made that tag match my main event and left. Work in the morning. Felt my money was well spent on the parts I enjoyed.

Here's the problem I have about it though, it's only for 1 show. It feels like they're wasting the match. Strowman will be back for Summerslam, so it just feels like Joe/Brock is filler and it absolutely shouldn't be. Joe vs Brock is a legit Summerslam main event, instead it will be headlining Sittin' On The Dock of the Bay.
Don't get me wrong, happy we're going to get Joe/Brock, but damn, if only it happened at Summerslam & not a filler PPV for Brock to retain.

Watched the PPV (matches only), here's how I'd rank them from best to God awful... -Fatal 5 Way (thought everyone got their shit in, high spots & really liked the finish) -CW Title (great storytelling, even if the fans didn't seem to care. Not sure where they go now though. 3 losses for Aries. Hope they don't turn him heel already) -Miz/Ambrose (Liked the match, hated the finish. Why have Miz pin him with his finish? After all of that, Ambrose looks like a moron.) -Tag Titles (dumb stips with how you could win. Good high spots though. Cesaro/Sheamus needed to win) -Swann/Sasha/Dar/Fox (TV match, but thought it was fine. Sort of shocked Swann won in his hometown. Wonder if they knew he was from there?) -Bayley/Alexa (just the absolute worst)
Arguably the worst women's match of the year, it was so incredibly bad, even by their standards. Bayley has been booked so awful since coming to the main roster. Remember how over she was when she was in NXT & finally debuted? All that momentum is long gone & now she's booked like a moron. She cut a promo on how she felt empowered by Wonder Woman & studied wrestlers using the kendo stick, yet she couldn't do it. Despite being the one who ASKED FOR THE MATCH! I'm fine with Alexa winning, but for fuck sake, WWE doesn't know how to book babyfaces to save their lives. |
