Outside of some of the bumps and the winner, that MITB match was incredible. When AJ and Nakamura moved the ladder out of the way, audible pop.

Not sure if Naomi is in the top tier of women's wrestlers on Smackdown, but I'm happy for her. She strikes me as a good woman.

As much as I want AJ/Nakamura at Mania, I don't want to wait until April, I'm all for them wrestling at Summerslam, the 2nd biggest show of the year.
That was a really good MITB main event. We all knew Corbin would win, but how they got there was awesome. I really wasn't expecting that AJ/Nakamura face off.
Totally agree about the spots really going unnoticed. It's a match that had enough time for it to allow spots time to breathe.
I was very entertained by this PPV. Sure it was predictable, but very enjoyable. Well done Smackdown.

The Ascension. That is all. Really hope the case isn't closed & we keep getting vignettes that eventually lead to it being American Alpha who has been behind all this.
They aren't doing anything with them as babyfaces & they could be dick varsity guys as heels. So hopefully something happens soon.
Gable & Jordan are literally the only team not being used on Smackdown. It's ridiculous how much they've dropped the ball on them. And it's not even Jordan/Gable's fault!

Listened to the LAW this morning and they had the same complaint as Julie. Meltzer too.
That reaction really surprises me. It's not like the "big, strong guy had to save the woman" thing. It's the opposite.
Though it seems like they are gonna redo the match on Smackdown.

Booking on the fly, I suggested you confirm Carmella's win. They didn't technically break any rules. Have the other five women do another MITB match. This one is a 5.25 star match. Now you've shown the girls can do it, plus you have two cases going around. Anything can happen on any night. The hilarity of Ellsworth with that case as well. Spice up the Women's Division. But my gut reaction was an out of touch old man thought it would be hilarious and couldn't be overruled. |

My first thought was this is a clever role reversal of when Woman or Chyna helped their guy win a match. The strong woman had her weak man help her win.

I guess the issue I have with that is it was promoted as a historic, groundbreaking match. But it needed a screwjob finish with a guy. I know they're heels, but I don't think that's the type of heel heat that's going to help those characters. I know it's a work, but that's the point. You literally can do whatever you want. |

Maybe if Ellsworth took a big bump earlier in the match and at the end Carmella made him climb the ladder to get the case it would've been better.
But it never crossed my mind that this was a feminist issue.
Guess I'm not woke or have privilege or something.
