Here's a weird thing: my Twitter timeline seemingly LOVED the Rumble. This board not so much. I really liked the women's, and was glad they gave us Nakamura in the men's, overall I enjoyed both. |

I'll say I enjoyed the outcomes of both, not necessarily how they achieved them.
Outside of Rumbel matches, nothing mattered. I enjoyed the WWE Championship match but it felt like a Smackdown main event. Universal Championship match felt like the last 6 months worth of Brock matches. I did enjoy the bombs he hit Braun with.
Tag matches were meh.

I actually enjoyed both Rumble matches quite a bit. The women's match was exactly what it needed to be and it impressed me how well it was put together. It had comedy spots along with a couple power spots to go with alot of nostalgia which was needed.
The men's was very good as well and I think made Balor look like an even bigger star. Very happy with Shin vs AJ and I hope they don't overbook Mania and it gets at least 20+ mins.

I haven't watched a Rumble in a long time but with my son getting back into wrestling, I signed up for WWE Network and we watched it. Being a staunch 7 year old misogynist, he had no interest in watching the female rumble so it worked perfectly and he got to bed at 9ish.
The rumble was OK imo. A nice combo of current guys and a couple old school dudes. Hurricane got the biggest pop from me. I loved the Heath Slater bit, they should have had it go on for a while longer but the Sheamus thing worked perfectly. Kofi's leap back into the ring was awesome. Very glad it wasn't Reigns or Cena with the win. I was hoping Balor was going to get the nod.
The Uso match was shit. Was the end botched? It looked like Gable was jumping in to break up the tag but missed... The Rollins/Bar match was also shit. AJ Handicap match was entertaining. Looking forward to Mania match now. Who likes Brock Lesnar? Why the need to have the same shitty match over and over. Say one thing for them though, its over quickly. At least it doesn't drag out forever. |

I watched it today - I thought it was fine for the most part. Roman didn't win and it setup some new angles which is what it is supposed to do. I loved how Corey was needling Booker the whole night and noticeably pissing him off! The women's rumble was fine and made Becky and Sasha look strong even though they didn't win it. Loved seeing Molly Holly. Lita sucks and is lucky she didn't Droz herself. I don't know why people are losing their shit over Rousey though. It was awkward and she didn't look to be in that great of shape to come in and be this asskicker. And what is the Piper connection?? Unless she is going to be batshit crazy they need to move away from that ASAP.

Ronda asked Piper if she could use Rowdy as her nickname & he gave her his blessing. His son gave her Piper's jacket to wear too.
She looked good to me. I just wish she wasn't so smiley. Serious death stare is what was needed.

Dave said that Adam Cole was originally wanted as the opponent of Bobby Roode on the pre-show, but someone smartened up & realized him losing in 8 mins on the pre-show wouldn't be smart, so they switched him with Mojo Rawley, who was going to be in the Rumble.
I don't say this often, but smart move by WWE.
