This booking is terrific. Finn looked strong. Miz looked strong. And now Braun is beating the piss out of Miz. Every damn bit of this has made sense and been quite impressive. Very enjoyable. No. In real life you don’t put yourself through this to put yourself in shape to win on Sunday. If this meant something, then it makes sense. Logic was thrown out here and made the importance of the match insignificant. Was fun and positions Rollins well but creative needs to tell a better story. I was perfectly fine with it. Loved it in fact. If you're in the match you want to beat the hell out of the other competitors to perhaps make your life easier come Sunday.

The match itself will make this RAW memorable years from now, I have no doubt about it. I loved the inset interviews after each guy lost too. Biggest positive from this was it was something DIFFERENT. Not the same shit we get tossed out there every week where we forget what happened on RAW by Wednesday. This won't be one of those cases.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but if they are doing Roman vs Brock at Mania again, then Roman should've been the ironman in this match. Stop trying to swerve the fans into thinking he's not your golden boy for Mania again. You should be making him into a monster & not having him lose just to pop the crowd, then book him strong heading into Mania.

I'll never be sad when Roman loses, you know that KS. But if their plan is to have this guy in his 4th straight Mania main event, he shouldn't be losing 1st in a gauntlet just to swerve fans.
Wouldn't you want an unstoppable monster vs an unstoppable monster at Mania? Why wouldn't you build him up big time longer than presumably just a month before Mania?
If this match took place in August, I'd be fine, but with the Road to WrestleMania being the whole deal, it's just weird to me.

I’m watching now and I love this match but I agree that it makes no logical sense. It would be like playing your starters a full game in a meaningless week 17.

I’m also strangely intrigued by this Wyatt/Hardy feud. I’m sure they will fuck it up but I feel like it has legs. A couple weird characters...it could be entertaining.

Ok jerkwinkles, I just meant the match itself was booked about as well as good be. I wasn't talking about it from a long term booking point of view. Obviously it's a bit questionable to have a match that goes nearly 2 hours long.... 6 days before the same group of guys enter into what is not so arguably the most brutal, demonic structure and match imaginable. BESIDES THAT the match was terrific and everybody looked strong.......... EXCEPT for the doggie dog and you even managed to bitch about that!!!! I'm just messin' with y'all. I did love the match though. Carry on.....

Even if the 1st match didn't make sense overall, Rollins was awesome.
They should always have Alexa and Mandy on the Hard Cam side of the ring with their back to the Hard cam. Still digging Sonya. They have to do something with Bayley. Turn her heel or rebuild her or something.
Coach on commentary is so much better than Booker.
I love listening to Graves when someone is getting the shit kicked out of them. His laugh kills me.

You're making everyone think it's Braun who is going to face Brock at Mania. You heard the crowd pop for it. They pop every time Braun comes back to the ring & murders the Miztourage more. Shame that we're getting Brock/Roman, a match that only Vince (and KS) wants to see. Gosh dang it!!! I do NOT want to see that. I don't even want Brock in the WWE for the most part. I haven't wanted, or ever will want Brock to be champion. I've been done with him for years now. But here we are and he is champ so I'd prefer seeing Braun or Samoa Joe take him down. (Joe should've beat Brock over the summer or whenever that was and be done with Lesnar) Roman is my guy but he doesn't need a belt.

RAW numbers were really strong this week (at least for the first two good hours). Once the gauntlet was over, ratings fell pretty hard for the women's segments.
8 p.m. 3.52 million viewers 9 p.m. 3.51 million viewers 10 p.m. 2.82 million viewers
How about that, you try something completely different from the same old shit & you get better ratings. Then go back to your same old multi women tag matches & it falls again.

I don't know what they could've done better as far as the actual match itself. Maybe like randomone said they could've had Reigns been the one to go over 60 minutes but could he even pull that off? Not to mention that if Roman did go for over an hour, people would still be bitching "Why's it always Roman that has to be setting all the records and getting all the attention?"

The match itself was outstanding. The actions of the participants were illogical. Like I said before KS, creative failed here. Make the match mean something. Maybe the winner has to get pinned twice in the match? Make the gauntlet match a no DQ match so no one could have the ability to get counted out on purpose to save their health and stamina for Sunday. There was nothing on the line and everything to risk in the world. Someone earlier mentioned this would be like having all your starters play the full week 17 game even though you locked up a #1 seed. The story is illogical. The performers were tremendous.

Nobody in that match is a "bitch" though other than The Miz. Every guy in there has the reputation of a badass. It's just not in their DNA to take the easy way out.
So all I'm saying at that point is that once you're put in the match, and being that none of these guys would take the easy way out (other than Miz), you're gonna fight your damndest to try and hurt some guys so that maybe you make things easier for yourself come Sunday.
Plus who knows. Maybe somewhere in secret kayfabe land, Angle told each of the competitors that if they take the easy, cowardly way out of the match that he'd then take them out of the Elimination Chamber match.

Don’t badmouth Miz. He’s one of the few things good in the WWE right now. Full disclosure. I’m currently wearing a Miz shirt. Haha

Turns out Woodridge was right after all. Roman realized there was no need to expend all his energy in that Gauntlet match and let himself get rolled up early so that he could go on to dominate the Elimination Chamber!!!!
