Alberto no showed the Impact vs. Lucha event last night. What was supposed to be a tag match ended up being a 3 way with Pentagon getting the win.

Just watched the main event from the first night of WrestleCon. It was supposed to be Trent & Chuck vs Ibushi & Omega, but since Chuck murdered Trent, he needed a partner.
Flip Gordon came out and it was met with nothing, boos actually. They clearly didn't want Flip as the guy filling in for the main event.
Crowd was actually pretty quiet for the most part and you'd assume they would go nuts for anything.
Kind of interesting to see.

Yeah they clearly didn't want him as Chuck's partner in that main event. They tried to work in the whole All In thing if Flip won, but crowd didn't care.
I think because it was Mania weekend and damn near every wrestler is in town, they were wanting a bigger name maybe?

Triple H announced June 18-19 there's going to be a UK Championship tournament at the Royal Albert Hall. Hope this actually leads to them doing something with the UK guys.
Also the Mae Young Classic is returning (he didn't announce that, it was just on that Network commercial last night)

Ummm..
Earlier today, there was an incident between New Japan star Harry Smith and WWE Hall of Fame Jake Roberts at Wrestlecon.
According to those who witnessed the incident, Smith, without saying a word, walked up to the table where Roberts was signing and threw what was described to us as a hot cup of coffee in Roberts' face.
While security quickly cleared the area and police were called, we are told that Smith left Wrestlecon's venue before they could speak to him.
There is no word yet what may have sparked the incident.

Good Lord. Drugs must run in the Smith family. He's always seemed pretty normal to me. I've watched a couple shoots and he seems grounded. But he's an extension of Wrestling Munsters. Who knows? |
