Just a real quick booking deal. Not sure on the specifics but......
I'd open Raw with Heyman & Lesnar doing their usual spiel in the ring. Maybe they issue an open challenge or maybe Heyman says they're contractually obligated to defend the title on the show.
Out comes a bandaged and banged up Roman Reigns. He starts talking blah blah blah......
Samoa Joe comes out. Tells Roman he already had his chance and that he'll take care of this. Beats up Roman and throws him off the ramp.
Goes down to the ring, kicks the shit out of Lesnar and becomes the Champion.

I have a bad feeling Drop In is going to defend this Mania. He is almost as bad as randomone’s love with Meltzer when it comes to Conrad.

Yeah if Brock is going back to UFC soon (he still has a motherfucking suspension to serve, you can't just fail a test, claim you're retired, unretire and not have to serve the suspension, asshole), you need to have a holy shit moment. Joe should win the title on TV. Make up for that atrocity we just watched.
Then again Joe wins, Roman definitely beats him.
I'd say have Braun beat Brock, but you can't because BRAUN IS TEAMING WITH A TEN YEAR OLD!!

I agree, however I think they might ..... hey, Spiegal is reporting from Wrigley on the Bernstein & McDoink show! .... anyway, they could milk this gimmick for awhile using kids of employees .... it's a pretty interesting way to market to that demo to be honest .... I hated it last night and I hate it right now (not to mention that all this does is make the worthless tag belts inexplicably more worthless), but at least I figured out the marketing end of it this morning, so it does dull my disdain a little. |

I like the idea on its own. I have other issues with the booking. Having one man destroy the defending tag team champions just isn’t smart booking. Vince constantly shits in tag team champs and then they can’t wonder why any of these tag teams can’t get over. If this was a pre-show thing and it’s against some of your jobber talent, thenits kind of fun. Of course it’s all about PR and marketing for the company. It does hurt your individual products though. |

When rating a Wrestlemania you have to think about what matches or parts will positively stand the rest of time. What brought you joy that you would watch again. If you think in those terms, aren’t you only wrapping your arms around the mixed tag and Charlotte-Asuka? Nothing else stands out to bring joy on a second viewing.

With that said, this is the best Mania since 31. Not saying a whole hell of a lot. It is not remotely close to “one of the best Mania’s” as Conrad put it.

Everything else was TV matches with elaborate entrances. Certain matches that could've been great, weren't (WWE Title). Other matches could've been great but suffered due to lack of time (SD Tag Titles). And your main event, which is your lasting memory when this show concludes, was total dog shit.
Also I think it's funny how Harper, Rowan and Strowman are Tag Team champions now for both brands, yet their former leader was in the opening match on a pre-show and his only job was to give Matt a hug and pose.

I just finished up tonight. Charlotte/Asuka was the best match. The mixed tag was fun. The IC title was good. Everything else wasn’t OK, it was bad. The kid thing was insulting and the final match should be the one that triggers a march on WWE HQ.
