I loved that tag match, especially the result. The one set of moves by Gable into that leg take down was fantastic. I wonder who put that match together, Arn?

Raw tag team match was outstanding. Kickouts and pin breakups were believable, technical wrestling greatness on full display. Goes to show you a good story in the ring is way better than the flippy flop b.s. that other wrestlers care more about. With in-ring storytelling, you can tweak it every match to be something fresh, whereas spot monkeys become stale and get less crowd response as they continue it. I think there's room for both styles, but that tag match was outstanding and more my type of deal. Sorry, I did mean there is a place for flippy flop matches but we need more of the technical/story telling wrestling also. If everyone is doing suicide dives and acrobatic off-the-turnbuckle moves, it just becomes cookie-cutter and the same matches for the most part. Give me something I can get invested in and pop for the ending; that's what that tag match and it was what made the Revival so strong in NXT.
I also liked the Elias/Lucha House Party segment; Elias is a natural in promo work.

drebin I agree with you completely with the tag analysis. One thing I want though is storylines for tag teams. I don't meant Rockstar Spud pissing on Roode's jacket either. Tag teams need storylines too. Hopefully this Hawkins/Ryder stuff gets some traction and they actually end Hawkins streak with them winning the Tag Titles.
I completely disagree with the Elias/Luchas stuff though. I thought with the exception of the song Elias sang at the start, the segment died a slow death. Which goes to show Elias has no one to feud with at the moment because on house shows he's a babyface but on TV he's heel. They have so much talent and this is what the put together?

Elias is a perfect example of WWE's penchant for taking something that gets over organically, and beating it to death to the point where I no longer care about it. I used to love Elias' spiel early last year, but I think there was a point when they should have toned down the schtick and attempted to make him a more serious character. I thought they were headed in that direction when he had a good IC Title match with Rollins at MITB last year, but they just went right back to the schtick.
I mean, in a kayfabe sense, what is Elias' motivation? Does he care about moving up in the rankings and getting title shots? It seems that his character only cares about singing in the ring. If that's the case, again in a kayfabe sense, why even become a wrestler? Why wouldn't Elias just audition for The Voice or American Idol? In the same vein, why the everloving fuck would Jeff Jarrett join the WWF in 1993 to further his country music career? Some of this shit just makes no sense.

On a related note, the script for tonight's post-Elimination Chamber edition of RAW was not finalized as of this afternoon. @wrestlevotes reports that there was a push at WWE HQ this week to make tonight's RAW "feel different," with higher-ups urging everyone to "think outside the box" when coming up with tonight's creative.

NM. Raw might be worth watching tonight. No promises. Check spoilers if you'd like. I'm not getting my hopes up.

WWE ruined it by posting pics of them all backstage on their Twitter.
This is why we can't have nice things.

So we're rolling them all out in one night as five random NXT guys. Great. This had better go somewhere interesting.

This is like Steph taking credit for the womens revolution.
Unless NXT feuds with Raw and Smackdown this is silly.

What annoys me the most is the dead crowd reaction for it.
They picked the wrong place to debut these guys.

You debut them in a New York or a Chicago and let that initial reaction be a great first impression. Although where did the original Nexus debut? They got a nice reaction.

Yeah I'm saying if you're gonna debut them in Louisiana, you have to have them do something memorable and not just get introduced by HHH.

Did we need a 20 minute match with Braun and Corbin just so Braun could get his dumb win back?

Braun won a 50/50 booking match against Baron "Fucking" Corbin, so of course he's now ready for Lesnar.

Wait so they've held off DIY actually reuniting in NXT for forever but just put it together tonight against The Revival?
The match should be great but fuck storytelling, right? Vince doesn't watch NXT.
Also why is Ruby getting a rematch? Thought those weren't a thing anymore? Not like Ruby earned it.
I hate that they hate consistency in their storylines.

Yeah, hard pass.

Let's put aside that Rush should be the pipsqueak coward manager and shouldn't get offense on guys like Ricochet and Balor except for hit and run.
This was a fun tag match. Ricochet got to show off his moves, did the 630 on Rush and we have a potential contender for Balor's IC Title.
I'd love Ricochet vs Balor

What the hell is going on with Heavy Machinery? They've been made into the new Bushwhackers. Tucky is big and talks very boring. Otis is "special".
