I tried multiple times tonight. So incredibly bad. For me personally this was three steps back. They were somewhat heating me back up.

Just since the end of the Claudio-Darby match (last 30 minutes or so) has been painful.

Positives
Opening 8 man was a lot of fun. Amped for Ospreay/Fletcher and to a lesser extent, but still, Takeshita/Ricochet. Hobbs sold his injury, but still looked strong. Davis looked good in his first match back in over a year.
Darby/Claudio is a late contender for TV Match of the Year for me. So much fun and Claudio was presented as a killer. Another monster for Darby to conquer before getting a title shot.
Main event match and segment I really enjoyed, Mox realizes it’s going to take more than he threw tonight to kill Orange’s spirit. Orange pulling himself up for the staredown was a nice visual to end the show.
Julia’s vignettes have been so great. Kinda bummed they’ll be ending soon, but I’ll be happy when she’s back.
While announcing one thing for Rampage would be a negative, it’s a positive because that one thing is Mina & Mariah are tagging together. Never not a positive
Negatives
MJF/Roddy randomly becoming super personal the last possible moment was odd. Why not MJF go that low to start and give Roddy even more reason to kick his ass?
Kamille has been made to look like a complete joke the last 3 weeks as Mercedes feeds her to the wolves repeatedly. Lost all her luster as heater.
How Jack Perry seemingly punked out Garcia while locked up in a warehouse is so strange. Garcia looked like a complete dork. Bad go home segment for this feud. IS JACK STILL TIED UP IN A WAREHOUSE?? SOMEONE CHECK ON HIM NOW!!
The Jericho/Ishii stuff got crickets. The power walk was funny, but literally they were just waiting in the ring for the attack and it was boring, standard heel stuff. I know Ishii stood tall, but still.
I don’t get the Costco Guys schtick. I know it has an audience, but it’s not me.

Didn't see much feedback on Roddy/MJF either way. Personally, Kamille being in a sling and getting beat on didn't rub me as her looking like a joke. SHE WAS IN A SLING. STAT IS THICC. Nobody said much if anything about Danny & Jack. The Jericho stuff was where it got interesting. Bluesky is very pro-positivity but they definitely don't like Jericho. HOWEVER, I'd say a good 80% of the feedback I saw was that they thought the segment was hilarious. Costco guys has gotten overwhelmingly positive feedback all week. The people that do know who they are do nothing but basically praise them for how much this BOOM! guy has been hyping the match and pimping out AEW. The people that don't know them seemed to be genuinely interested in how'd that all would go. |

I'll say this. I'm done doing the $50 PPV's. Have never done the $30 ROH ones. Maybe once I did I guess. As much as I love supporting AEW, that's a pretty damn large chunk of change on a yearly basis. Especially with the expanded PPV schedule. I mean if you were to order all these, it's like $700-$800 a year if I'm not mistaken. I'm not that much of a big shooter. Plus I get PPV quality matches and feuds on the regular just by watching Dynamite & Collision.
Hopefully the Max conglomeration will make all this more feasible. For now, I'll just follow along on Bluesky.
