I haven't seen any spoilers for this, which is good. I assumed this was live, but I read that Lio Rush was at the AAA show tonight as one of the masked Marvel guys, so who knows.

ACH defeated Chris Bey to advace to the finals Despite selling his bad back from the first round, ACH does his flashy flips to start, but Bey cuts him off with a springboard dropkick for 2. Legsweep & standing moonsault to the back gets Bey 2. He rides ACH like a surfboard, but gets sent to the apron & ACH boots him to the floor and hits a plancha. Back inside, ACH dropkicks out the leg & hits a double stomp on the noggin for 2. Somersault into a Code Red gets Bey 2, looks to climb the ropes, but ACH cuts him off and knocks him loopy. Fireman’s carry, but Bey turns it into a hurricanrana off the second 1…2…NO! He wants his springboard cutter, but ACH catches him with a German suplex in mid air. Turns Bey out with a lariat, hits a brainbuster for a close 2. ACH goes up top, hits the 450 Splash 1…2…3! ACH is headed to the finals. Another match I thought would’ve gone much longer and wish it did. Good for how long it lasted.

El Phantasmo defeats Blake Christian to advance to the finals Shotgun dropkick by Christian sends ELP flying for a 2 count as he’s firing off forearms until ELP grabs at the broken nose. Christian fights back with a legsweep & then a 619 while on the apron before hitting a springing somersault out the corner. Back inside, he wants another springboard, but ELP rolls out to the other side of the floor, only for Christian to nail a somersault twisting dive! Christian tries a springboard back inside, but puts on the brakes, avoiding ELP’s knees. ELP grabs at the eyes again to cut off Christian as he screams at him to quit. Ref keeps checking the face as ELP keeps up his attack, literally wrenching at the nose. Back rakes by ELP, who wants CR2, but Christian hurricanranas through for a 2 count. Series of kicks by Christian, who hits a sit out reverse DDT 1…2…NO! Rolling DVD, standing shooting star 1…2…NO! Christian landed right on his fucking face doing that as he tries to go to the top, but you can tell ELP is waiting for him as Christian misses his dive. ELP nails a superkick for the easy 3 count. ELP to the finals in 7 minutes. Wish this went a lot longer, but for the time it went, Christian looked solid.

KENTA & Hikuleo defeated Ren Narita & Kevin Knight Forearm battle starts from KENTA & Narita as KENTA stops that by slapping Narita so hard he drops. KENTA tags the 6 foot 9 inch Hikuleo (who is Haku’s son remember), he chops Narita so hard it sounds like a gun went off. Narita fires back & tags the newest young lion, Knight, who goes after the big man. Narita goes after KENTA, who posts the young lion. Flapjack by the big man on Knight as he follows with a stalling suplex for 2. He absolutely launches Knight shoulder first into the corner and the ref won’t count as he says it wasn’t right, which is baffling, even for NJPW refs. Hikuleo again chops Knight super hard, but misses the leg drop. Narita with the tag, he cuts the big man down to size, but KENTA tags in. Narita puts him down with back elbows & single arm suplex for 2. Forearms just wake KENTA up, as he hits a spinning back fist. Knight tags in & he tackles KENTA down and clocks him with a dropkick flush for 2. Uppercuts & diving shoulder tackle get another 2. Boston Crab blocked as KENTA hits a kitchen sink & punts to the back. The kicks wake up Knight as they trade forearms & uppercuts. Knight goes for a dropkick, misses & KENTA sinks in a Boston Crab. Narita in & he breaks it up, but Hikuleo in, choke slams Narita down, KENTA back to the Boston Crab and he sends a message to Shibata by submitting the young lion with the young lion specialty. I dug this match and liked how it ended. Knight looked good, I’ve missed seeing Narita, Hikuleo looked fine & KENTA is a great heel. Post match, Kevin Kelly says the time could be drawing near for KENTA to get his US Title shot finally against Jon Moxley.

Rad little video package leads us to our main event. ELP ATTACKS ACH DURING HIS ENTRANCE! He cleans off the ring announcers table, grabs the trophy & BREAKS IT OVER THE BACK OF ACH! The match hasn’t even started yet! ACH slowly gets up with help of referees, slides in the ring and says he can go, which annoys ELP. Bell sounds and here we go.
El Phantasmo defeated ACH to win the Super J Cup ELP charges, ACH gets a school boy for 2, backslide for 2. Snap rana sends ELP to the floor, ACH tries a running punt kick on the apron, ELP catches & slams ACH down on his back. ELP drives the small of the back into the edge of the apron as the ref puts the count on him. ACH beats the count at 18 and ELP rips the tape off the back & chokes him with it. ELP works the back before doing a sliding dropkick in the Tree of Woe. He tries for it again, but fakes & stands on the crotch. ELP says this is his company and asks where Liger is, says he’s at home playing with his toys (which, ok? Weird insult) as he suplexes ACH on the stage! ACH barely beats the count at 19 and ELP can’t believe it. ELP snaps the fingers and is just toying with ACH at this point. Rope walk, but ACH kicks the ropes & ELP falls to the floor. Punt kick to the chest flattens ELP, who hits a slingshot cutter back inside for 2. Snap German gets ACH another 2, as he goes to the top, but ELP cuts him off. Super hurricanrana by ELP, who springs to the top, massive splash 1…2…KICK OUT! Styles Clash connects 1…2…NO!! V-Trigger hits, as he goes for One Winged Angel, but ACH wiggles out, flurry of kicks, brainbuster hits 1…2…KICK OUT!! ACH wants to end this, goes up top, ELP dives & crotches him. He climbs up with him, but ACH stops him and hits a super gutbuster for a close 2. He goes up top again, 450, but ELP puts the knees up, shoves ACH into the ref, hits a low blow, school boy 1…2…KICK OUT! He can’t steal it like he did last year! Superkick by ELP lands flush and it’s academic at this point, but ELP goes for & hits CR2 for the 3 count. El Phantasmo is your back to back Super J Cup Winner. Fun final, liked the storytelling at the end. There was really only one option to win this tournament, I’m glad they went with ELP.
Post match, they present ELP with a broken trophy (which he snaps on his knee) and he rips the jacket away from the presenter. He fakes putting the jacket on before spitting on it, throwing it down, tossing it away. ELP says he runs this shit, he runs this division. He calls out Hiromu Takahashi and says he watched his match last night (so we know this was taped). He says he’ll see Hiromu at Wrestle Kingdom. Fun 2 and a half hour show.
