Both Cole and Danielson very complimentary of Vince and WWE in the post show media scrum. Cole says he knew for a while he wanted to come to AEW, and Danielson says it came about over time.
Weird hearing Bryan swearing. Haha.

Thinking back on this and the only complaint I had was match placement on the card. I think Moxley match should have opened now knowing what Miro and Kingston did. That's it. That's the only thing I would have done different.

I mean for this group who complains and shits on just about everything, that is the worst thing we can come up with. Kudos to AEW for getting it right

Some random notes about the show: - The Buy In tag match was a fun little affair. It was by-the-numbers but it did what it was supposed to do. Jungle Boy and O.C. were over like a mofo. - Miro's heat was off the charts. For that matter, Eddie Kingston got some of the biggest pops of the night. I was one of only about 50 people cheering for Miro! - Surprisingly, Mox didn't get that big of a crowd reaction. The crowd seemed to be going with Kojima during the match. I'm not sure how it came across on TV. Big pop when Suzuki came out and dropped Mox. - Britt vs. Kris was WAY better than I expected. Crowd lost their shit for some of Kris' power moves. - Lucha Bros vs. Bucks...what the fuck can I say? Just fucking amazing. My voice was gone after this match and never returned. - Battle Royale - There were some good moments, like Leyla suplexing the shit out of Nyla. We were all chanting Ruby Soho before she came out. I feared Jade's top was coming off..she kept having to adjust it. The pop when Nyla got eliminated was nuclear. The crowd was split between Ruby and Thunder Rosa, and I really wasn't sure who to root for. - Jericho vs. MJF - Crowd had to be 100% behind Jericho. Great match. Great use of the Dusty finish because most of the arena bit on MJF's initial three-count. The right guy won. - I wasn't expecting Punk vs. Darby this early. I don't need to tell you what the arena was like for Punk. During the match there were dueling "Let's go Darby/CM Punk" chants, but the Punk contingent was much stronger. Great textbook wrestling match. Perfectly paced and did everything it was supposed to do. Darby lost but looked like a million bucks. Punk's still got it. - Paul Wight vs. QT Marshall - This match was what it was. I was surprised the Gunns didn't get involved though. - Main Event - Again, I'm not sure how it sounded on TV, but the crowd was about 70/30 in favor of Omega. The heat segment on Christian was really long and a lot of the crowd started getting restless. We all bit on that Killswitch false-finish but I was relieved when Kenny kicked out. I think most of us just wanted the match to end so we could get our surprise. - Crowd was chanting "YES" before Adam Cole came out but we popped big for him anyway. The heel turn was BRILLIANT! Whole crowd was duped by it. Then the "YES" chants started up again and AEW did not disappoint. THAT is how you deliver from start to finish. My hat's off to AEW...not only the best show I've seen live, but one of the best wrestling shows I've seen period. I'd put this up against any WrestleMania from the last four or five years.

AEW has made me look forward to watching wrestling again. WWE it was a chore for so long to “get my wrestling fix” that now there’s an alternative, I don’t feel forced to watch WWE weekly anymore because they’re giving me zero reason to want to (minus Roman stuff, he’s been a highlight).
I know there’s plenty of other places to watch wrestling prior to AEW and believe me, I did (NJPW, PWG, etc) but it was a habit to watch WWE.
Now that habit is done

Oh, and just an aside...the internet really needs to chill with the played out narrative that AEW is just a bunch of flippy midgets. At this point, they've more than disproven that. Anyone still saying that clearly doesn't watch the product. This is a real-ass wrestling company that has a little something for everybody.

Anyone still saying that clearly doesn't watch the product. This is a real-ass wrestling company that has a little something for everybody. My standard response to that was always to ask who they would like to see. In a shocking turn of events, most complainers didn't have a solution. Just wanted to say things. Those that did named people under contract or dead.

Because we're still on a high from All Out, I'll be the company man and promote tonight on Elevation on YouTube at 6, even though it's not the show I recap.
Darby, Moxley & Kingston vs. Chaos Project & RSP Riho vs. Skye Blue Dante Martin vs. JD Drake Red Velvet vs. Queen Aminata Anthony Bowens vs. Griff Garrison Nyla Rose vs. Laynie Luck 10 & John Silver vs. Isaiah Moore & Travis Titan Kiera Hogan vs. Blair Onyx Lance Archer vs. GPA Emi Sakura vs. Missa Kate Bear Country vs. The Wingmen
If you want some squash match goodness and have an hour to kill. Also, there might be someone returning in that Bowens vs. Griff match, so heads up for that.
