Conrad's been extra quiet the last couple days.
Next time he records with Bruce, they have to talk about this right?

MANY people seem convinced that HHH is WWE Corporate Officer Number 1.

Ah yes. Good ol’ reporting in the wrestling journalism world. These people are in the same bucket as national enquirer types.

jungle boy was probably offended by his offer to practice months ago. Ain’t no one in AEW got time for that nonsense.

OR... he does actually have advice for young guys getting in the business and can offer valuable insight to those that are willing to listen and learn. Maybe if more in the AEW locker room had that approach they would be in the top spot in a top 3 PPV event in any organization. Crazy that 2 years ago Tony had this main event capability and never capitalized.

Crazy that 2 years ago Tony had this main event capability and never capitalized. The culture in that fucking company. It’s like a startup company where the owner hired a bunch of his best friends to run the company and oh wait… I've been giving this some thought since last night. I agree that Hangman, the Bucks, and Jungle Boy are all petulant asswipes but there's another angle that I kinda forgot about. Those guys for different reasons were all kinda rejected by the mainstream machine that WWE represents. In their minds, they feel like, "Hey fuck you! We got here on our own, without WWE so we don't need your advice." To some of them, I think Punk represented the "corporate machine" that rejected them, so they kinda have a chip on their shoulder when it comes to guys like Punk giving them advice. Just my theory. Still doesn't excuse the behavior, but I think it at least somewhat represents the mindset they have. Tony Khan represents that outlaw mindset also. They look at themselves like the redheaded stepchildren of the wrestling business. The underdogs. Everyone's against us, etc. I just wish they had all been able to talk it out instead of just reacting emotionally to everything.

Definitely believe there’s some truth to that OKC. It doesn’t help that anyone with any sort of leadership position currently at AEW has the emotional intelligence of a 2-year-old, and that’s not even fair to that age group. To top it off, the guy who rattled the cage might be more experienced and have some bits of wisdom, but he too has very low emotional intelligence. Ahh wrestlers…

Just said it wasn't a surprise. He spent an entire year of his two year AEW run on the shelf.

Broken foot stage diving Torn triceps in the Rumble that consists primarily of punching & kicking
I obviously don’t want to see anyone get hurt, even if I don’t like Punk, but he gets injured in the oddest of ways (coming from me, who has had his fair share of WTF injuries).
I’d have Rollins vs Priest at Mania, no surprise cash in, just gave Priest call his shot. It’d be new.

Punk is gonna pull a Cody and beat Rollins with a torn tricep.

Classic Phil, copying what the Code-Man does
I’d have Judgment Day lay out Punk and Priest be the one who primarily does it. Build Priest up to do the same to Rollins.
I’d love a surprise Priest clean win off a cash in at Mania. It’s be different from the usual surprise cash ins everyone expects

Umm, AEW has a working relationship with PWTees, so this definitely feels like Okada is WWE bound. Damn.

Maybe it's just gonna be for his own stuff going forward so he makes the money instead of sharing with New Japan?

I'm fine with Okada going to WWE if that's what he does. I also read a report that said Malakai and Buddy are gone as soon as their deals are done. This is also a positive for AEW.
AEW went crazy signing all these WWE guys in 2021 and 2022, and they ended up with a bigger roster than they could properly book. Maybe now they can keep their roster at a manageable level, and focus on the people there now. I think Tony got obsessed with "dream matchups" and he started treating the wrestlers like a crate full of action figures.
