Hangman tapping to keep the title from Swerve.
Very nice.

They're moving to 9-10 PPVs a year.

My streak of falling asleep during Hangman title matches continues!

Man, Scotty Riggs is that "One of these things doesn't belong here" gimmick from Sesame Street.

Might've been the greatest PPV I've ever seen. (Except for the Roddy thing)

Best sendoff to a wrestler ever. That was fucking incredible. I wasn’t missing a moment of that main event in my recap for the Observer.
I loved the rest of the show. It had everything you could want. Bryan & Eddie, FTR/BCC, Orange & Roddy, I even dug the Scramble for what it was. Opener and the Women’s Title were fine for the interference filled matches. Ospreay & Takeshita had an all timer. Joe/Swerve/Hanger told a great story and worked off Hangers promise to cost Swerve the title by any means necessary.
I’m looking forward to the future
I like the lesser PPVs because they mean more this way, but I understand why they’re doing it.

I'm gonna go ahead and give the Sting match a 6. Takeashita / Ospreay a 7. Danielson/Eddie a 5.
I'm still working on the rest.

That video DDP posted of the redemption of The American Males was amazing.
Buff getting clean for a year, reaching out to Riggs, who was living in his car for 5 weeks, had only a few teeth left, invited him to the Accountability Crib and Riggs got in shape, put in the work and DDP hooked him up with new chompers.
Happy they’re getting their lives back on track.

The reason Luger & DDP weren’t shown on camera at the PPV with other legends was because WWE wouldn’t allow them to be.
Look, I get guys not wanting to piss off the company when they are older and merch sales contribute a lot to their money these days, but when a guy retires the caliber of Sting, the fact Lex wasn’t allowed to be shown on camera is bullshit. I totally understand not getting involved in the match itself, but why can’t you just show them applauding in the crowd? What harm does that do.
Yet posting pics online is fine though. As there’s been some pretty cool pics of everyone celebrating backstage.
Just dumb.

Hasn't DDP been on AEW TV and PPVs in the past? Why would he not be allowed to be on screen now?
And is Luger under a WWE contract?
Just show up and be on camera. What's the worst that happens?

WWE Legends deals I’m assuming. I think DDP signed one after popping up in AEW in the early days.
It’s all stupid.
Lex & Dallas saying WWE allowed them to be there, just not on camera, interviewed or involved. Meanwhile, Nash said he told Sting that WWE wouldn’t allow him to be there.
Something tells me Big Kev is full of it. Part of me thinks he didn’t want to be at AEW, which he shit all over like last month.

Nash already said it had nothing to do with WWE as he never asked them. He just didn't want to do that to HHH as a friend.

I know the answer is yes, but are egos that fragile in wrestling where a retired wrestler can’t go to the retirement match of a longtime friend because he doesn’t want to hurt his buddies feelings?
It’s not like he’s be wearing AEW gear and cheerleading for them. It’s fucking Sting.
Nash doesn’t want to do that to Hunter, fucking dumb. Not what you said, but Nash saying that.
