Yeah I haven’t missed a womens Hawks game this season.
Next year is going to be so tough for them with 4 of the 5 starters leaving (I’m assuming Caitlin is gone next year, but for the sake of women’s NCAA basketball, hope she stays her Covid year).

Kansas basketball this year is going to give me a grabber. They did not deserve to win that game. Without McCullar this team has no chance in the tourney.

2 minutes into the game, Clark gets 8 quick points and gets the record breaker from a logo three
Amazing

She had 23 points in the first quarter. Just wild.
Cheapest seat in Carver tonight was around $350. Great to see for women’s college basketball.
Iowa is going to be crushed next season if she decides to leave (they lose 3 other starters too).

Caitlin Clark is mesmerizing. I've gone out of my way to watch her this season when Iowa has been on a network that I get. I wish it was her this weekend vs Steph Curry in the NBA All Star thingy. Doesn't she also lead the NCAA in assists this season?

Yup she’s the assist leader this season. She has over 3,000 in her career.
She put up 49 tonight and also broke the Carver single game scoring record as well.
Unreal

99 points away from Pistol Pete’s all time scoring record in men’s basketball too. Granted Pete didn’t have the three point line, but still.
So she broke the NCAA Women’s Scoring Record Had a career high with 49 Broke Carver arena’s single game scoring record
So much fun to watch

A great question came up on sports radio yesterday. Is Caitlin Clark the biggest star in all of college basketball heading into Tournament time?
I'd be hard pressed to say no.

I probably haven't watched a college basketball game before the tournament in five years. I couldn't tell you one player on the U of I (Illinois) team. I've seen the name Caitlin Clark more than any human on the planet not named Taylor in the last month. So I'd say yes.

That's how I feel as well. I'd be curious if it's the case amongst the people who watch more college basketball than I do.

I will say I’ve watched way more women’s college basketball than men’s over the past few years and it’s because of Caitlin and the Iowa team. And it’s games not involving Iowa either.
I watch USC because they’re always great and then LSU in hopes they lose, they’re forever villains to me because of last year and also Kim Mulkey is just a very hatable person.
Add to that the top women’s Big 10 teams like Ohio St or Indiana.
I watch the men’s Iowa team, but they’re really young and aren’t that good. Although 2 freshman from my area are doing great this year for them.

A great question came up on sports radio yesterday. Is Caitlin Clark the biggest star in all of college basketball heading into Tournament time? I'd be hard pressed to say no. She definitely is. The only other two names I know in all of college basketball (outside of the Wisconsin & Marquette programs) are Zach Edey & Angel Reese. I went out of my way to watch Iowa in last years tournament because of her. I've tried to watch as much of her as I can this year as well but most of their games seem to be on Peacock which I don't have. She has a serious Steph Curry vibe about her.

It’s been cool. My wife doesn’t give a shit about sports at all. Last year I had her watch some Iowa games and it was the day they won on the last shot, both men and women’s. She became an immediate fan of Iowa women’s basketball and we haven’t missed a game since. We also watch other ranked women’s games if they’re on: South Carolina, LSU, whoever. It’s been a really cool bonding experience for us. Already looking forward to Clark & Boston on the Indiana Fever.

I hope she sticks around Iowa her Covid year, but I don't see it happening. If she can continue making the money she does now while in the WNBA and be on the team in the area that her boyfriend works for the Pacers office, then I get it.
But there are some real good young guns in NCAA basketball that could put chase to her record in a few years.
Selfishly, I want her to stay in Iowa.

Caitlin is about to get a BAG. Heck, the endorsement deals alone will set her up for life.

Supposedly she's taking a pay cut going to the WNBA. At least in terms of contract vs. NIL money.

I brought this up to some friends, but I wonder if her boyfriend working for the Pacers organization has anything to do with her going to Indiana (who gets the first pick this draft and will take her).
She's broken damn near every record, the only thing missing is a title (I sadly don't know if the current team is strong enough to make it to the Final 4 again), so unless she wanted a final full season without the bells & whistles surrounding "when will she break _____ record?", then there's no reason for her to stay sadly.
As a Hawks fan, I'm super sad, but I get it.
Now, finding the Indiana WNBA games will be difficult, as I have no idea if they're ever even shown on ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNNEWS/ESPN8: The Ocho

Between her boyfriend at Indiana and all her best friends graduating this year along with nothing left to prove, I thought this was the obvious choice all year. Wife and I will be buy the wnba season package. My world has changed quite a bit haha

Caitlin breaks the all time scoring record (yes I know Pistol played 3 years and didn’t have a 3 point line) in a massive Senior Night win over #2 Ohio State.
They’re losing 5 seniors (4 starters) next season, brutal, but damn this team has been fun to watch.

Iowa getting beat by Nebraska?? Shocker. Not so fast my dear boy! What a comeback! Gabbie Marshall, smallest on the court, biggest block of her career with 30 seconds left in OT!
