First saw Harley when I started renting WCW tapes and he managed Vader. I always thought of him as Bobby Heenan because he'd take bumps all the time and get involved, not just stand there.
I was 5-6 years old, so I had no idea he was a wrestler before that, so when I started watching late 80s WWF VHS, I appreciated his work as King Harley Race.
I didn't get to truly appreciate his work as NWA World Champion & feud with Flair until years later because that footage was simply never available. Holy shit the promos he cut were so simple, yet delivered a major message. He never yelled in them, his calm & composure almost made him more scary than it would had he just lost his shit.
He was the fucking man.
Also the second wrestler I ever wrote for an autograph.

That is some really shitty news. Harley was always helpful to young wrestlers and opened his home to them. He loved the business every damn day. This sucks.

Maffew posted this and it's really sad now literally everyone is gone in this clip. But damn were those Survivor Series promos cool with everyone together.

Harley was a great ambassador for wrestling.

I know I could just Google this, but figured I'd ask here instead,
Didn't Harley pull a gun on Hogan once? Or am I making that up?

I know I could just Google this, but figured I'd ask here instead, Didn't Harley pull a gun on Hogan once? Or am I making that up? I don't know the real story. Something happened. Vince was running Harley's territory for the first time. I believe the real story is he told people to send word that he was going to shoot Hogan. Get word to him. It was believable enough that Hulk called Vince and told him to fly to KC/St. Louis because he wasn't getting shot over this shit. I think Hogan has admitted that part. But I don't think Harley ever actually pulled the gun.

My favorite Harley story is that prior to Starrcade '83 and his match with Flair, Vince had dinner with Harley Race and offered him $250,000 to no-show Starrcade. Being a loyal guy, Race declined. According to Race, Vince met him in the bathroom of the restaurant and tried to shoot a double leg takedown on him. Harley maneuvered him into a crossface and was nice enough not to kill Vince right then and there. Not sure if Vince attacking Harley Race makes him a daredevil or a dumbass.

1. Ditto to the Ouch sentiment (hope she's ok) 2. Taya is insanely lucky that girl didn't land & snap her ankles.
I was going to check some of this out tonight but I didn't want to listen to Spanish commentary and certainly not Vampiro & Striker's gibberish English commentary.

Cain Velasquez, yes, the same Cain Velasquez that murdered Brock in 2011, just did this in his debut...

Riddle vs WCW guys on social media is a potential front runner for Feud of the Year

At first I thought Bro might get in trouble for saying he'd beat the shit out of Jericho, then I realized he's an AEW guy now, so they'd be happy about that. The Goldberg stuff maybe not so much.
I also fully believe Riddle fell asleep during a Lance Storm seminar. I like Lance a lot, but it seems like something Bro would do.

Most surprising part of that promo is that he name dropped Chris Benoyt. I know WWE guys really aren't supposed to mention him. I wonder if there will be any blowback for that.

Riddle seems like a guy who truly doesn't give a shit if he says or does something he's not supposed to.
That's kind of awesome.

I don't know if any of you are dream experts, but I had a doozy last night. Two main points. I had a match against Suzuki and he literally ripped my left arm off. I had to go around everywhere with nothing below the shoulder. I was married to Katherine Heigl and she was NOT helpful with anything.

Having your arm ripped off by Suzuki >>>> Being married to Katherine Heigl Are you on any medication? If so, let me know what you took before you went to bed, I want a Suzuki dream! Mine would probably be we'd take pictures dressed as hipsters for his Instagram.

The Suzuki arm thing is pretty fucked up too. Edit: randomone is stealing my comedy bits.

As long as Kaze Ni Nare is playing as he ripped my arm off, that'd be at least a positive.

Hopefully had the dream gone longer, Suzuki would've used your arm to deck Heigl for complaining (which I assume she was doing as that's what she's known for).

Reason #47 why TNA failed
They had guys like The Bucks, Shelley, Kendrick and fucking Okada and didn't do shit with them.
Shout out to Generation Me and Okato (Samoa Joe's Green Hornet sidekick)

Okada went on excursion and learned how not to do things. Sometimes that's even more valuable than learning how to do things.
