Okay, so there are 16 people reading through the NFL section right now, yet there are just a couple board members logged on. Can those other people post too, or just read the posts of board members? If you are in no shape to answer, feel free to allow Calvert the opportunity.

Guests can view the board but can't post. So we have a bunch of voyeurs. As Clevon Little said in Blazing saddles..."Allow me to whip this out"

AntiHero and Hawks hockey and Ohio State/Clemson. Wife wants to watch that Hunger Games movie - how do I get out of this one? Get out of watching a good movie featuring the beautiful Jennifer Lawrence? I want your problems... Tivo/save (on demand) the other stuff. Then give the wife the thrill of her life and call it a night.

Start drinking some Lord Calvert. She won't want to go anywhere with you.

That movie was fucking over-rated. While it certainly isn't a great movie, much less one of my favorites, I thought it was a good one. Just remember the next time your wife doesn't want to watch some sporting event on TV, to mention sitting through Hunger Games for her sake and how a marriage is all about give and take. I think a lot of times when movies get great reviews/academy awards, our expectations are so great that it's hard for the movie to live up to the expectations we have for it. I hope the 2 1/2 minutes that followed the movie made it all worthwhile.

I dunno - had I not known some of the backstory from everyone who read the books (I didn't read them) I would have thought it made no sense. As far as dystopian future movies it was pretty tame. They didn't much go into the backstory of why there were 12 districts except for that hard to hear movie they played during the lottery of the kids that got picked. And the reasoning for the Hunger Games and keeping the peace made no sense either. Finally they played up the fact to be charming and popular so you get gifts from sponsors, that seemed to be a big deal, yet there was only one instance of it (the burn cream for Katniss). You would think other people would be giving gifts to the other players too to help them. The costume and art direction was annoying as well - I didn't understand why the people in the capital city looked like that because they were rich. It looked cheap kind of. It was very slow at points too - I can see why if someone read the books they would like it, but for the most part it was a pretty "meh" movie.
And 2 1/2 minutes? I'm not 18 anymore!

I like looking at Lennifer Lawrence. I would hire her as my mechanic if I could.....she always gets my motor running.

Will there be a chat during the Packers/49ers game? IMO the time during games where there is a chat going on, is the most enjoyable time to visit the site.

If KS wakes up from his Calvert nap he should do an Eagles/Saints chat.
That's gonna be a great game.

Of course as I am typing, Jamal Charles goes down. I hope it's not a significant injury, I took KC in this one.

At the risk of being thought of as a Scrooge-like figure, I think you can remove the Ho-Ho-Ho from the board announcements at this point. Just sayin....

Drinking a Sierra Nevada Celebration for Speeps. Ok for myself. But its damn good. I forgot how much I like this beer. I am not a big fan of SN offerings for the most part but this is outstanding. Well balanced and nice burst of pine on the finish. Need to go stock up on this before its all gone.
