I take back every bad thing I said about him in the Bears thread. By the way, Tito's is back in my world. I realized it's only suggested I not drink with this medication. Being on the last couple days, and walking a construction site with my mom today was enough to welcome him again. |

I meant I don't often see cases where exes remain friends. I guess it was just a poor attempt on my part at making conversation. My apologies.

Yeah, I've never been in a position to communicate with an ex after it was over (aside from my son's mother). Two tried to maintain communication but I did not answer my phone. They eventually stopped.

It has been too long my favorite thread ever  Finally able to have a beer. Enjoying a Yuengling Oktoberfest - very very nice. Not as good as Afterburner or Spaten but a damn fine offering. Need to get my tolerance back up for my trip to Louisiana on Wed. |

It's only awkward if you make it that way and if you were friends before you got together than it isn't impossible to be friends after, depending on why it didn't work. If it wasn't due to one of you being an a**hat, then it shouldn't be that bad. ...if one of you is crazy, then I'd avoid it at all costs. |

In my experiences, there was never a friendship beforehand. I don't believe in wasting mine or anyone else's time. My theory is, "I ain't your friend, so I'm not about to pretend like I am." I'm a big proponent of keeping it moving.
And with regards to my son's mother...thankfully, my son is old enough now that I bought him a cell phone so when he's not with me, we can talk on his phone and I don't have to interact with his mother really at all. She's a bitch and I'd just really rather avoid dealing with her on any level. Get a drink in me and I'll tell you a few things.

Yes. I don't let his mother pay for anything that's not necessary. She's the type of person that will hang shit like that over a person's head. I decided a couple of years ago that it was not necessary for me to contact her just to talk to him, so I got him his own phone and I pay for it myself.

If you end up getting forced into Outback, order that onion roll gimmick. Tell the waitstaff it's his birthday, and it's tradition to have Happy Birthday sung during appetizers. When they arrive, put the Bloomin Onion on his head as a birthday hat while they sing.
For the record, I don't know if that a good idea. But it would be fun. Chico's and water.
