Anybody got a suggestion for a podcast that's more of a review/rundown/opinion show? something like a Ring Rust Radio... but preferably not that... I can't handle Donald Wood anymore.
I already listen to the Austin, Jericho, Cabana, and sometimes JR's podcast, but I'm looking for something that's just a couple fans, sitting around, talking about what's going on in the world of pro wrestling. MLWradio.com They probably have the most variety of topics. wwe, tna, nxt, aaa, roh, indies, but not too much of any of them. Bryan and Vinny show on meltzer's site is "just 2 guys talking". Free show from last night: The Bryan & Vinny Show returns tonight with tons to get into including full reviews of the first post-WrestleMania XXX Smackdown show, Raw from Monday night, all the matches and angles leading into the WWE Extreme Rules SPECIAL EVENT, plus Vinny and his bachelor party, some brand new songs and more! www.f4wonline.com/component/content/article/78-bryan-and-vinny-show/36508-free-today-april-15-bryan-a-vinny-show-full-reviews-of-the-first-post-wrestlemania-smackdown-raw-from-monday-night-extreme-rules-notes-new-songs-vinny-bachelor-party-tons-moreHere's a sample of a B&V show from last week. soundcloud.com/loblaw/041414bvshowBryan & Vinny Show returns tonight with a packed episode, four big shows to talk about! We'll cover NXT from the WWE Network, the excellent Daniel Bryan Road to WrestleMania special, Ring of Honor on Sinclair with two of the matches from New Orleans last weekend, plus Total Divas from Sunday night! A fun show as always so check it out~! ----- Really enjoyed the Austin and Heyman show. Good call on the SCSA impression KS.

The Austin/Heyman podcast was the best show I've listened to since this stuff started. Amazing. Any young worker or indy guy should listen to it like it's a college class on pro wrestling. When Heyman starts talking about Austin v Lesnar, I was dying. While Heyman is talking, you know in his head Austin is saying "Dammit Paul, I know what you're doing you little bastard. You're trying to get me to strap up the knee gimmicks and get you a payday!" Next thing you know, Austin stops the recorder. Hahahaha.

I planned on listening to the second half of the Austin/Heyman shot while I did some work. I didn't get shit done. It's better than the first part. Heyman tells the story of ECW's collapse, and his departure from WWE in 2004. Including meetings with Vince. Incredible.

I'm saving it for the drive home from work.
Part 1 was outstanding. If this is better, I can't wait.

I tried to listen to Piper's podcast.
That was a mistake.

He starts out complaining that he had to keep stopping the intro because of the next door neighbor's lawn crew. Especially dislikes the the leaf blower. He asks if anyone remembers the rake. IT'S A FIVE FOOT POLE WITH A BUNCH OF GIMMICKS AT THE END. I was coughing and laughing so hard I thought I was in trouble.

Part 2 was indeed great, though I think I liked the first part better.

Heyman's impression of both Austin and McMahon are hilarious. All the McMahon stuff was money. I could listen to these talk all day. I want Austin vs LESNAR now. Fucking Heyman.

This week's Pro Wrestling Report is something special. A real special piece of garbage. I don't know how idiots like Damien Nelson get shows like this with sponsors and the whole nine yards, while having NO talent, NO ability to remember anything that happened on tv 2 days prior to their taping, and NO mind for how pro wrestling angles or anything works!
Unacceptable.

I was going to say to make Bob Loblaw a moderator for this forum but it's already done! Excellent.
If Bob wants to update my page one post one with his links and such, please feel free to do so Bob.
Additionally, does the Layfield Report count as one of these?
And finally, I liked Heyman/Austin part 1 better but both were awesome. I hope they do a month's worth of shows together in the near future!

They proceed to bring in Gary fucking Busey?!?! You already have seven crazy people! Horrible booking. That show was the drizzling shits.

I'd definitely have Nash here. But they can do H2H on the podcast and make everyone money. Probably a worked shoot. Whatever. Eventually this format will be ruined for everyone just like everything else.

ahhhhhh Nash was just being the same old childish, whiney, untalented, annoying Nash he always was (seriously, he's the WORST. in every way. least favorite wrestler OF ALL TIME).. thinking I might yell at him on twitter just so "his team" will block me.

I harbor an abhorrence of sorts about/against Nash. It's a very personal issue and there's no real right thing to do. Well to me there is but I could possibly understand some other points of view. Score Jr. and I were there when the NWO PPV'd No Way Out in Milwaukee. We stayed at the hotel the wrestlers stayed at and everything. It wasn't by chance. Yes, we stalked them. My buddy was also there with his nephew. I have hours worth of stories from those two days. Devon going up the elevator with a groupie and then 5 minutes later reappearing down stairs with a shit eating grin. Bubba on the phone the whole time and pissed off at something! Like the jerk I am I still went up to him once he hung up and asked if Score Jr. could get an autograph. He looked at me like he was gonna kill me but still did it. Anyhoo....lots of stories like that. I stayed up with Speeps one fateful night and told him about 6 hours worth. Anyways, we got the hotel from the night before No Way Out until the next day. So the night before the NWO makes their WWE PPV debut, there's Kevin Nash in the hotel bar.....and who's with him? Yep, Scott Hall. Now Scott wasn't drinking at that time but maybe you can control yourself (Nash) and not drink around one of your best buddies who's desperately trying to fight the demons of the exact thing Nash is participating in less than 24 hours from the PPV. I understand it's not necessarily Nash's problem to deal with but......there were two other times I witnessed this scene over the years with Hall and Nash. I've been in this situation a few times and I've completely stayed "clean" around people going through what Hall does. I don't know. I don't feel like I'm right or I'm wrong but just looking at Nash have to stand there in his two sizes too small shirt around his arms, standing all tall with his bottle of whatever, and stroking his hand through his hair a few times.....just kind of pissed me off. In fact I'm getting feisty again right now.

Taz Debuting New Radio Show Posted by Larry Csonka on 04.21.2014 Taz Radio… - TNA announcer Taz is getting into the online radio game by debuting "Taz Radio". He posted a demo episode last night, which is described as follows… Taz Radio is a talk show hosted by Taz, but the show is NOT about Taz's career. It is about his feelings, thoughts and most impotently Taz's insight about the daily topics in the wrestling business. This is coming from a someone with strong legitimacy standpoint from a man who has been a 3x World Champion, TV broadcaster for both WWE & TNA (current) and ECW an original. Taz bringing to the microphone in his show, no bitterness, no cheap shots & no BS! www.blogtalkradio.com/tazradio/2014/04/21/taz-radio-hosted-by-pro-wrestling-personality-taz-demo-show-42014

I can't wait for Balls Mahoney to get his own show.
One time, this mark was bugging me at a shot in Chicago. I was about to lure him outside to murder him, but he bought me mozzarella sticks. He really doesn't know how close he came to having his heart ripped out of his chest with a gimmicked bar napkin holder.

the nash stuff per Dave.. --Kevin Nash had one of those nights on Twitter last night calling Roddy Piper all kinds of names which would be fine if they were building up a mach, but since they aren't, comes across really bad. He wrote, among other things, "Your (sic) a bitch and a liar. I had respect for you but no more. I smacked your bitch ass to the grown (he meant ground, I think). never come around me c--- (some words I'm not even bothering with). He went back and forth in his mind because another tweet said, "I love Rod and respect him. What I did was disrespetable. He is a ledge (he meant legend, not a the outside of a window). I was a raw Detroit guy. Wish it didn't happen. I f----d up." Before that it was "Piper is a deranged old fool. He got bitch slapped to the floor. Hulk, Pac, Scott and Eric were in the room. Let it go Rod pod cat invite?" --Piper found out and ended up inviting him on his podcast. --The gist of the story is that there was a backstage incident at a Nitro where Nash got into it with Piper. Piper's bodyguard (who used to appear on NBitro for a short period of time as his sidekick) decided at the moment he didn't want to be a bodyguard anymore. I don't know Piper well at all, but I did speak with him and even years later he brought it up out of nowhere and was very bitter about the incident. I think he brought it up on his podcast, or somewhere, in the last few days, but in telling the story, may have told it in a way that was more favorable to how he did in the skirmish. Nash's version was pretty much how I heard it the next day, but I don't know why 15 years later in the middle of the night he'd tweet constantly about it. It's Roddy, he's a legend, he was a real street fighter in his day and he was older and broken down when this happened. Let him have a little dignity, correct it is fine but let it go after the correction.
