No I'm good. I don't want him trying to talk me into the small leak in my basement turning into re-doing the entire foundation.

Do the raccoons have a little raft to cruise around in down there?

That naaaaame again, is Mr. Chow.
Mr. Chow is being stretched to the limit right off the bat. Minimum four inches, and it's all an icy mix. I'd take fourteen inches of the stuff that looks like a KS arrest record as opposed to this shit. I decided to tell it to go fuck itself, and I'm about to barf.

Nothing on the ground at noon.
An hour later and it was like a blizzard.

For the record, I think we only got about 4 inches here but it sounds a lot like Drop In described. Icy mix and with temperatures dropping fast I'm trying to get done what I can in between board drop ins. If you'll pardon the expression.
(Been up since 7 due to the carpet reinstall)

Mr. Chow should come with a warning.
WARNING: If you are an out of shape late-30's male, use of this shovel could lead to napping and bitching on the internet.

I'm embarrassed about my effort today. I thought I could get by on style points but I forgot how I got here. Grindy. Shovel to the concrete. Concentration. Technique. It was all missing. I'm not proud to say it but I'm letting the rock salt do my dirty work even as I type this. Rock salt doesn't complain. I could learn a thing or two from rock salt.
*Disclaimer - I only use salt when needed. This is a rare instance where the wet snow has turned to ice and due to my piss poor effort in not clearing it on time the salt was a needed last resort. For you dog owners I want you to know that I'll be sweeping up the rock salt tomorrow afternoon after it does it's job.

Disclaimer: I get physically upset when people say "this is the worst......." anything.
It's usually a middle aged white guy beginning with "Listen" or "Alls I know Is!" But this was the heaviest snow in my lifetime. I've never experienced anything like it. I'm going to have to cut a tree down in Spring because of what this snow did to it.

Easily tied for the heaviest of my lifetime. I think I've had "As heavy" but definitely not more so. It's not physically possibly to be more so other than raining concrete. I have a huge pine tree in my yard (like maybe the biggest in Wisconsin) and normally all branches hang no lower than about 5 to 6 feet. Now obviously I don't have to duck for those but most people would. Anywho, 5 different branches are currently touching the ground due to the weight on this snow. Now the key here is to just let those branches be. If you brush the snow off the bounce back will be nothing like if you just let it be. I've actually experienced this in the past and it is indeed true. Not saying I know whats going on with your tree but rather just relating a story.

It is insane outside and has been all day. I feel like I am at the oceanfront during a strong storm. The mist/fog off the lake today was nuts.
