I'm not a big Jarrett guy but I'm praying this works out.
You do know he's rumored to be partnering with Toby Keith, right Hawger?

Naw, I think he probably drives a panel sided station wagon.

I came to post the Jarrett news, and I see fifteen responses. Holy shit! Oh......
Anyway, I've also never been a Jarrett guy. I think it was Cornette that wanted to compare money drawn in the business against the cost of guitars. But it sounds like he's on the right track.
One, he's got a really financially stable partner. We already knew that was happening. The idea of bringing international stars in would be huge. I love that he said a boom period is coming. "With what I've got going on, the WWE Network launching, and AAA coming to the states!" Jarrett, sitting Indian style on a stage, waves and says "How ya doin' Dixie Carter?"

I'm in a very weird minority where I don't mind him really - not a fan per say. He's a very, very poor man's Triple H in terms of his character's positioning over the last 15 years of work he has done. Meh, whatever.

The conversation shouldn't really be about Jarrett as a performer. It's Jarrett running a company and booking. At least the opportunity. If he puts himself on top of the new promotion, I'd be completely against it.

I seriously view this as a huge win/win across the board. Wrestlers win, fans win, some network will be happy with the situation, hopefully the competition will breed better programming from all promotions and it could be an interesting cross promotional endeavor as well.
Hopefully Jeff will have learned some things from having already done this once. He's obviously experienced in starting a promotion. By the looks of it, he's already taking a drastically different approach than he did with TNA. Perhaps he saw from TNA that it's not necessarily the "names" that the organization has but rather the booking and production.
He seems to have found himself a REAL money man. As has been mentioned somewhere on here, Forbes expects Toby Keith to land on the America's Most Wealthiest list at some point in the not too distant future, and in order to even be included on that list, the starting point is a net worth of $1.3 Billion. And shit, who doesn't know Toby Keith? The backing he could probably obtain is worth probably more than he is for gosh sake.
I also imagine this company will be able to pay wrestlers MUCH better than TNA and possibly on par with Vince? On par with Vince may be a stretch but this Toby Keith thing is no joke.

How does Toby Keith have all this money? His music makes a shit ton but not that kind of money. He must be in the oil business or something.

Additionally, I think they're doing this at a GREAT time. With the massive start-up networks in FoxSports1 and NBCSports, there's serious potential there. Those networks have gone all in on Nascar and some other sports and presumably have some serious programming slots to fill. Wrestling has time and time again proved to be worth it to the networks that get involved with it.
And there's no denying Jarrett's tremendous relationships with AAA Mexico and Wrestle-1 out of Japan. Perhaps there will come a day when we'll see the Slapnuts title defended in mexico, Japan, Australia etc..... I'm no wrestling historian but I'm pretty sure that could be a welcomed blast from the past.
And then hopefully, TNA (if they're still around) and WWE will have to up there games at some point due to this new promotion which of course would be a huge win for us the fans.

Look for CMT to get in. If they put your drinking whorefest on they surely would put wrestling on especially if Tobias is involved.

I'm not really up on my network rankings though. Maybe CMT is already a powerhouse? Not sure. However, if Fox Sports 1 recent deal with Jim Ross is any indication, they could very easily be players.
