This show is getting better with splashes of fun bad. I know some have restrictions on Tuesday, but I think I'm going to attempt and watch more of this live.

I’m legit coming to you for the recaps from now on. I tapped out. I even took it off the DVR. I might watch Havoc, but it’s just too different of a show and not enough to keep me interested.

I'm glad she's okay but it sounds to me like her thought process was, "I want to be a wrestler who does dives."
Some of these wrestlers need to be honest about whether they're athletic enough to pull off these moves.
Even her running before the dive looked clumsy.

Apparently the reason the fans in the PC who boo MSK every week (despite being babyfaces & doing nothing heelish) stems back to 2018 when Zachary Wentz (Lance Storm, Chelsea Green & Zack Ryder were among others) criticized when Izzy the Bayley fan got chokeslammed at an independent show when she was 13 years old. Her parents get the crowd, who are the same people every week, to boo them. It's not everyone, but because there's only like the same 200 people every week, even getting a dozen or so people to boo them you can hear clear as day on TV.
Bodyslam.net confirmed the story, as did a regular who goes to NXT each week. Chelsea Green even confirmed the fans there did that to her for the same reason. She said she didn't think a 13 year old should be taking bumps nor should she have her first match being outside the place she trained.
This is equally dumb as a shit & ridiculous. If there's even a tiny bit of legitimacy to this (which I honestly believe this is true), the only thing worse than super fans are pissy "super fan" parents.
Izzy now does interviews for the new WOW company and I see here pop up whenever AEW does post media scrums too. Her & her parents need to stop being dicks.

I’ll watch the rest tomorrow (maybe? Is it worth it?) but I caught the second half of the main event. Steiner slipped on the ropes at the end but he recovered nicely. And that frankensteiner was nice.
I like the story they told for the finish, Ciampa hit him with everything to win it. Steiner kicking out of the first finisher was good too.
He’ll be champion soon enough, but happy they didn’t hot shot it like they apparently did with the Toxic Attraction dames.

This opener is making the early AEW Women's Division look like the Four Horsewomen. Just watched it now. It was pretty bad stuff. I always hate (doesn’t matter the company) where someone climbs the ladder and then stalls because the other person isn’t there yet. Just makes everyone look stupid. The Gigi rana botch, Zoey’s Phoenix Splash where she landed on her feet and just fell onto Persia. It’s smart they sorta kept Jayce out of a majority of this. Io was the star in an otherwise really sloppy ass match that in no way needed to be a ladder match. |

Haha that fucking wheel was spinning fast and stopped dead on the Chucky Choice. It’s almost…like…it was rigged.

So the super strong powerhouse Raquel was trapped by one kendo stick slid between an office chair? Just makes her look dumb. Also Mandy used the wrong side of the kendo stick literally every time she swung it.
If it’s any consolation, it this wasn’t nearly as bad as Elektra vs B-Fab’s street fight a few weeks ago. That’s not really a compliment.
Welp, back to not watching NXT for a while.
