I wouldn’t put him as low as Lash Legend is on the inexperience rankings, since he has strong amateur wrestling background, but he’s only had 6 matches total, too.
You don’t realize how important house shows are before they’re done. Especially for NXT guys/gals who benefit so much from them.
Instead, no matter what the ratings are, it’s still live on USA.

I understand going to USA was a money grab/fuck with AEW move, but NXT should be a pre-taped Peacock show. Now NXT and USA are kinda stuck with each other. The first 45 minutes or so were really well paced and the Ciampa/Steiner interaction was spectacular. It quickly fell off a cliff. I think it should still be given a chance and should be on USA. That said, it's clear really smart wrestling people are booking the show. That's a serious comment. I get throwing people in the deep end and see how they do, but those exact people should know who's going to embarrass themselves. It's not that hard. |

The cut made it look like Carmelo died. I watched it back because I audibly yelled watching live. I'll never be able to justify their match style with the cuts. It's absolutely horrible. But IMO, the bigger vision of how this show is shot is really good. They make that little space seem huge and make relatively new talent look like stars.

NXT creative will directly report to Bruce Prichard and Christine Lubrano similar to how both Raw and SmackDown's creative teams operate.
Johnny Russo will head up NXT creative. Russo (no relation to Vince) had been the lead writer for the brand since July 2020. He had been involved with main roster creative dating back to the fall of 2011.
Additionally, Dewey Foley and Anthony Golden Jr. will remain on the NXT creative team.
I absolutely love the report had to clarify not related to Vince Russo, haha. But the fact that everyone reports to Bruce now in NXT goes to show you how dogshit this has become. I know it’s Vince’s call, but damn, black & gold seems like such a distant memory. #CaneDewey

I mean fuck. There's a way to do that name change if you're really committed to doing something so stupid. And it isn't at the end of a solid match.
Have WALTER announce the change weeks out. Says WALTER is the past and Gunther is the future.
Then after the match he cuts a promo again emphasizing Gunther will destroy everyone.
But instead it's "Hey pal. You're Gunther Stark now. See you out there."

Bron can start shit talking Dolph for a couple weeks. Dolph shows up and starts destroying NXT guys. Have him outwrestle those guys and wrack up wins. He could even shout UNLUCKY after schooling them.
Make Dolph a legit threat to Bron.
