Ok, so Pro Wrestling Guerilla is having their annual Battle of Los Angeles on August 29, 30 & 31 in Reseda California. Don't know how many guys here are familiar with PWG, but it's hands down the best Indy promotion & I highly suggest watching their YouTube previews of shows & buying DVDs. This is the lineup for the 24 man tournament
Night 1 First Round Matches Drew Gulak vs Kyle O'Reilly AR Fox vs Brian Cage Biff Busick vs Roderick Strong Michael Elgin vs Tommaso Ciampa Trevor Lee vs Cedric Alexander AJ Styles vs Curt Hawkins (Brian Myers)
Non Tournament Matches Mount Rushmore (Adam Cole & The Young Bucks) vs Best Friends of Low Moral Fiber (Kenny Omega, Chuck Taylor & Trent?) Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels & Kazarian) vs Inner City Machine Guns (Rich Swann & Ricochet) vs The Worlds Cutest Tag Team (Joey Ryan & Candice Larae)
Thats only night f'n one!!
Night 2 First Round Matches ACH vs. Kenny Omega Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Adam Cole Trent? vs. Rich Swann Chuck Taylor vs. Johnny Gargano Matt Sydal (Evan Bourne) vs. Chris Hero Ricochet vs. Chris Sabin
Non Tournament Matches Bad Influence vs The Young Bucks Drew Gulak & Biff Busick vs Michael Elgin & Brian Cage
Night 3 is the Quarter/Semis/Finals of the BOLA tournament.
F'N hell, I wish I lived in California. These shows are an Indy wrestling fans dream.

Indy wrestling has the ability to be huge right now. AAW is just one of the promotions that's figured it out. Hell, they're trying to get big shooters like Woodridge Ryan and a Drop In to promote their shit. They MUST have figured it out.

I'm so bummed that the Indy wrestling boom ended in my area a few years ago. There's still shows every so often, but just isn't like it used to be. It seems guys like Elgin, Cole, The Bucks, Steen all started getting big when it wrapped up in my town. Bummer.
On a plus side though seeing guys from 2003-2008 like Punk, Daniels, Hero, Cesaro, Jimmy Jacobs, Corino, Low-Ki & the first 5 years of Tyler Black isn't too shabby of a consolation.
Curt Hawkins vs AJ Styles though. In one night Hawkins gets a better match than he did his entire last 3 years combined in WWE (his matches with Trent were really the last IMO) Hope they tear the house down.

I wish indy wrestling had boomed up here in the frozen Norths of Dakota ever. In the past 2 years we've got 1 WWE house show and 1 TNA house show... it's rough

The Bullet Club was pounding silver bullets in the video. The match was pretty good. The fans love these NJW guys.

The junior heavyweight tag title match was supposedly great.

AJ just about broke someones neck. These NJW guys seem very technically sound. AJ had a pretty sweet finish though.

The junior heavyweight tag title match was supposedly great. I think the first match was some of the NJW vets putting on a show. The guy in the full suit and mask was 50 yrs old.

So the 11th Anniversary Show was this past weekend for PWG & the main event was The Young Bucks vs Joey Ryan & Candice Lerae in a Guerilla Warfare match for the tag titles. This pic was worth posting.
The Bucks put tacks in Joey Ryan's mouth & superkicked him in the face. Candice also bled, a lot. The Bucks had tacks on their boots & superkicked her in the face. Pretty crazy. Candice & Joey won the tag titles.
Velvet Sky posted a tweet about ladies needing to stop carving themselves up or something along those lines. Pretty obvious she's talking about Candice, but she kinda denied it. I don't know, I'm kinda for it, it's not like she's Ric Flair & bleeding every time out. She's done it before & the feud with The Bucks has been going on for months. This was clearly the end of it. People would expect Joey to be the one busted, but out of the 4 people involved, it was Candice.
Can't wait to see the whole show though.
Also Trent? blew out his knee pretty bad & will need surgery according to his Twitter. So the Best Friends team with he & Chuck Taylor wont be happening for a while, which is a bummer.
