– Paragon Pro Wrestling sent out the following today, announcing their national cable debut date on POP TV… Beginning Saturday, July 4th, Paragon Pro Wrestling will air on POP TV every Saturday at 6:00am across the country. According to a report from PWInsider.com, Nick Gage, who was scheduled to headline the promotion’s Cage of Death event was taken into custody on September 4th for a parole violation after being released earlier this year for his bank robbery conviction several years ago.
The report notes that there is no word as to how long Gage will be away from the ring, however CZW had been planning a lot of major things around his involvement with the promotion

I just stumbled across this. Chuck Taylor made a 40 minute video documenting a trip to China for I assume Evolve maybe? Trent, Johnny Gargano, AR Fox, Ricochet, Rich Swann, Mia Yim, Biff Busick, Gabe Sapolsky & a host of others, even a brief cameo by former ROH lady Lacey (who lives there I think). It's pretty damn entertaining. If you got 40 minutes to burn & want some laughs, I suggest checking it out.

According to PWInsider.com, after tonight’s EVOLVE 49 iPPV went off the air, WWE NXT star Sami Zayn came down to the ring as Johnny Gargano and Ethan Page were recovering from their I Quit main event match.
Zayn said he got his start cutting his teeth in EVOLVE and added he has an “indy sized hole” in his heart. He thanked the fans for supporting him and EVOLVE.
Zayn then said this is the ground floor of something very, very big for EVOLVE and he teased more to the relationship between WWN Live and WWE. He put over Johnny Gargano, who participated in the Dusty Rhodes Classic, and told him that after seeing him in NXT and tonight, that there is no doubt Gargano is the man. Zayn said there’s there’s never been a more important time than now for him to step up and show it. This ended the night.

Sami Calihan is already back in AAW in Chicago, this past weekend he attacked Eddie Kingston at a show & he's also scheduled to return to CZW. Glad to see him get right back into things.
Brad Maddox on the other hand is taking indy bookings under his new name........Mad Braddox. That's pretty damn funny. He also has a collection of new shirts at ProWrestlingTees already with a "Cocky Pricks" theme to them.
I want to see both in PWG.

Saw this video was on the Squared Circle reddit & I figured I'd post it with AJ officially debuting. This was from No Limits Wrestling in 2006. AJ Styles vs 19 year old Tyler Black. I was there (1:28 when the little kid falls off the table from jumping up & down, you can see me sitting to the far right). Anyways this was the ONLY time they have ever wrestled & it was an excellent match.
Funny little note about this show I remember, Eric Young was there but also Hornswoggle wrestled on it as Shortstack "The World's Sexiest Midget" and he ended up signing with WWE about a week or 2 later.
Yes, this is an independent wrestling show, so of course AJ's music cuts out immediately when he walks out & also the announcers mic goes out too. So he has to yell the intros. HOORAY INDY WRESTLING!!! |
