If this is what the family needed, good for him. He looked like he was a mess. According to our source who was backstage at RAW, Bryan immediately left the show following the opening segment and flew home to be with his family in Seattle, WA. Upon returning backstage, Bryan's bags were already packed and ready to go. Several Divas and Superstars were standing backstage and gave him hugs/wished him well. He got in a waiting car and headed out. He is now en route home where he needs to be with his family following the death of his father. Perfectly handled and booked.

It really was.
This is a rough way to start his title reign though.

The WWE was just recently at the Baltimore Arena (January 6th, 2014) ... yet the card already looks dated less than 3.5 months later (even if it wasn't the 'Old School' show):
1 Rey Mysterio, Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso defeated The Wyatt Family (Erick Rowan, Luke Harper and Daniel Bryan) (8:40 minutes) 2 Big E Langston defeated Curtis Axel (2:43 minutes) 3 Alberto del Río defeated Sin Cara (2:17 minutes) 4 The Brotherhood (Goldust and Cody Rhodes) defeated The Real Americans (Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro) (11:44 minutes) 5 Special Guest Referee: Sgt. Slaughter -- The Great Khali defeated Damien Sandow (1:58 minutes) 6 Aksana and Alicia Fox defeated Bella Twins (Nikki Bella and Brie Bella) (3:48 minutes) 7 Too Cool (Scotty 2 Hotty, Grandmaster Sexay and Rikishi) defeated 3MB (Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre) (5:23 minutes) 8 Roman Reigns defeated CM Punk (16:23 minutes)

WWF Raw's first visit to the Baltimore Arena was back on May 11th, 1998 .... that evening's card was as follows (it's almost an upset that only one guy is bereft of life):
1 Vader defeated Barry Windham 2 8-Ball defeated Road Warrior Hawk 3 Jeff Jarrett defeated Faarooq by disqualification 4 Sable defeated Marc Mero 5 WWF European Title Match: Owen Hart vs. Triple H (c) ended without a winner as a no contest 6 Terry Funk and Scorpio vs. Sho Funaki and Taka Michinoku ended without a winner as a no contest 7 Nation of Domination (The Rock and D'Lo Brown) vs. Steve Austin and Vince McMahon ended without a winner as a no contest
Interesting note ... 4 Dark Matches that night as well ... wonder what the last one looked like ...
> Headbangers (Mosh and Thrasher) defeated José Estrada Jr. and Jesús Castillo Jr. > Scott Taylor defeated Papi Chulo > Savio Vega defeated Chainz > Bombastic Bob and Bodacious Bart defeated The Rock 'n' Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) by disqualification

Agreed, this was a stinker. Aksana is still better than Eva Marie & Cameron though, so take that for what it's worth.

Three hours is just too long guys. I know we ALL know this, but I just get fatigued with some of this filler. If this was a two hour show using their top storylines, you really do have a hell of a RAW most weeks. Can you imagine the shit we'd get in 2001 with an additional hour? Ehhhh...

I like how she added the little 'Look at my ass' turn to her entrance tonight. I'd be a fool not to look.

I want Lana to insult all the fat, out of shape women in the crowd. Oh my. That would be the greatest thing ever that they cannot do because it's a publicly traded company in 2014. Mother blanker. Hey JJ, what do you think of that gimmick?!?

Kind of .... courtesy the waning days of WCW at the Baltimore Arena, January 29, 2001: 1 4-Way Match: Shannon Moore defeated Elix Skipper and Jamie Knoble and Yang (4:58 minutes) 2 Ernest Miller defeated Shawn Stasiak (5:03 minutes) 3 Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Road Warrior Animal defeated Filthy Animals (Billy Kidman and Rey Mysterio Jr.) (3:27 minutes) 4 Lance Storm defeated Crowbar (6:53 minutes) 5 Rick Steiner defeated Shane Douglas (5:39 minutes) 6 2 on 1 Handicap Match: Kevin Nash defeated Totally Buff (Buff Bagwell and Lex Luger) (3:50 minutes)

With Batista leaving for a bit, you know who could fill in for him don't you? If you can't figure it out, all you have to do is Bo-lieve in yourself.
You can't spell challenge without change.
