$80 for Jim Ross. Does he just sit there and tell stories or what is this all about? I bet its like a live podcast show without an interesting guest. I'm sorry, he for some reason sucks at anecdotes.

I think if you could sit around in your living room with him and get him all liquored up - that he'd be a thing.
He's pretty tough on the podcast and I can't imagine the live version being any different.
And he's just never "loose". Pardon me. But he's always so serious and such an old school mark. His stories, while sometimes somewhat interesting, just lack that real genuine human touch that makes or breaks the story. He's a wrestling robot. He reminds me of Bret Hart in that respect.

Exactly. Why would Punk show up? If he isn't getting paid, he isn't going to be there. And this is the JR show, not JR and Punk show.
Just another bad KS thought.

JR has guests all the time at his shows. Punk probably lives 5 minutes from the House of Blues.
You better get those clippers ready, cij.
I hate you, jackref.

I am constantly amazed by how much bad you can cram into a single post. Unless you are walking next door, nothing is 5 min away in the city, especially the HOB area.

Former WWE announcer Jim Ross says there are currently "no plans" for C.M. Punk to appear at his "Ringside" one-man show Saturday in Punk's Chicago hometown. Ross also talked about his future as an announcer with Ted Gruber for ChicagoNow.com.
"It’s foolish to close any door. I’m not looking to do anymore pro wrestling broadcasting, but if the right opportunity arises then I will listen," Ross said. "I’m not soliciting companies but I will always keep my ears open. It would be stupid for me to say it’s over. I have my Podcast that is doing a lot of great things and I’m writing for FOX. So I’m staying busy but again I’m a wrestling fan, but as an entrepreneur. I am willing to try MMA or football if it’s the right opportunity.
The Keeping Score effect on wrestling "media" is very disturbing.

It was a difficult call. While I admit the early podcasts were rough, and still need work, this is the only place I see negatives about JR. I didn't hear anything new during his hour with Laurence, and I had to listen to Laurence. It was a really solid hour.

Details on Jim Ross' Hospitalization - Suffered Stroke-Like Symptoms Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 06.08.2014 He's okay now though... - Jim Ross' hospitalization on Thursday night that lasted over the weekend were reportedly due to stroke-like symptoms. TMZ reports that Ross was feeling symptoms similar to a stroke on Thursday after he got him from his trip to Las Vegas and that (as previously reported) his wife made him go to a hospital. Doctors ran tests on Ross that revealed he had suffered a minor undiagnosed stroke sometime in the past. The current symptoms were being caused by medication he was taking for an unrelated medical issue. His meds have been changed out and the problem is believed to be completely resolved.
