So lets break this down.
Good Performers: Nettles, Kacey, Alabama (maybe), Eric Church, Yoakam, Charley Mutha fuckin Pride, George Strait, Clint Black, Charlie Daniels......maybe zombie Randy Travis, and brooks and Dunn...forgot them.
Been there, done that, don't care performers: Yearwood and garth, scaggs, McGraw, Stapleton, Bentley, Reba, Gill (he is almost pile of shit territory for me...talented but i hate his songs and sound) Jackson.
Pile of Shit: Bryan, Fla Ga Line, ldean, Lambert, Urban
Scorching death awful: Thomas Rhett, Little Big Town. (at least they aren't sam hunt....he set the bar for awfulness.
What the hell is Cam Newton doing here. H
That is actually a pretty good list of performers. They still have the same old shit but they also have 5 times as many good performers.

I'm not way into the newer sound of country but I must say that they do a great job with these awards shows. The performances almost never disappoint.
