Borrowing my parent's van to road trip with a buddy to catch Bengals/Browns. Guessing Johnny will be starting this Sunday. I will record my thoughts, (many) beers and sights.

We left at 7.30. Everything was going smoothly until we realized we were driving to Detroit. Luckily we caught it only 5 miles into Michigan.
Now at the Ohio/indiana border. There's a wwe raw semi parked at te rest stop

How in the hell did you mess that up? You get onto 80 and drive for 6 hours to Cleveland. What did you do take 94?
Ohio/Indana border!!! That is where the beer barn is at.

I hate driving on 80 to Ohio. So depressing - nothing there except a Hardees rest stop every 30 miles. We started taking 30 to Fort Wayne and cross to Ohio that way. Much more enjoyable trip.

I thought you always went to Cinci? I drop down on 65 and take 70 over. Fair Oaks ice cream stop FTW!!!
80 is incredibly boring.

We go to Cincy, Columbus, and Mansfield depending on who in her family we are visiting. Cincy is the only city in that awful state worth going to.

Stay on 30 East past Ashland next time and you will enter Amish Mafia/Vanilla Ice Amish carpentry area!!! My in laws are up north of Ashland. If you drive through Medina there is a sick grocery store with a massive beer section and 6 taps that they fill up growlers at.

We took 294 and I forgot to get onto 80. I'm used to driving to Detroit to see the girlfriend.
We stopped in Toledo to get Tim Hortons. Accidentally got back on interstate to chicago so had to U-turn to cleveland.
Upon arrival to my grandparents she prepared a 7-course lunch. Phew, what a meal.
Now we're at the hotel dowtown. We felt awful leaving the car for the valet as it reeks of 7 hours of farts.

Don't forget to step into hipster mecca nano brew and next to it is the market garden brewery. If you spot a Barrio taco truck you better get in on some of that action. St. Ignatious is a few blocks away from you so you can go there and yell Hoyer sucks after a few dozen pints.

Lol, market garden patio might be really nice option as it's 40s and they have heat lamps.
I'm going to look for that truck. That's better than grabbing pizza at paninis

I think it has a dia de los muertos looking skull on the side. They are opening a actual place downtown but I think that is still in the building or planning phase.

Snagged a spot at Great Lakes and Yule log is out. Starting Christmas ale number 2 What weird tap house only rotational beers do they have on? I only see what they distribute but I'm sure they have some weird shit there on tap only.

They had some dortmunder variations. We bounced after two Christmas ales and mosey'd over to townhall. Underwhelming beer list. Left after 1 mojo IPA (bad). Now at a dive drinking Johnny's IPA in honor of JFF with Sam Cooke and Marvin Gaye out jukebox picks

I got a sampler of Oso's. I don't think I have ever had anything from them. They seemed to be the house beer at Uncle Mikes as they had the all their products on special.

I just hope he is wearing Browns Zubas and a dog mask.
I heard a great story about the dog pound back in the day. Apparently they would bring in this big ass dog house as a prop and no one cared. The thing is that this doghouse was really a trojan horse for a keg. That must have been fun.
